Honestly....... my perfect setup would be a 2 FX-loop system...... switchable using a Tonebone Loopbone......(http://www.tonebone.com/tb-loopbone.htm)

One loop will lead to either a Pod XT Live, Boss GT-8 or a Vox Tonelab SE, with a seperate Crybaby from hell/Slash Wah (Something that's customizable) and then the other will consist of the Zakk setup......which is the ZW-45 Wah, Rotovibe, ZW-44 Overdrive, EVH Phase 90, EVH Flanger, Octave and a Chorus pedal........

And then the signal will output to a JCM800 2203x (or ZW model) with the FX loop in the rear....... either that or a Marshall Mode4.....

No. It's quite simple really...... a Multi-FX unit with a Wah goes through one channel on the ToneBone pedal..... and my Zakk Attack effects loops goes through another channel.....

The ToneBone basically allows you to have 2 effects chains to switch from, and outputs them to one amp.....

So I will have all the units right where I would normally have my pedals.... only they will be slightly angled........ will draw a diagram when I have the time.

wud u guys like an array of pedal effects?
or a reali gud mutli effects pedal?
*
like blacktrix, i'd like both smile.gif
but since I can only afford one, i'd take a good multi effects.
buying a whole array of effects is very costly, but of course, nothing beats analoque in terms of tone.
however, multi-fx have one advantage live, which is the ability to change a whole array of effects and presets with one tap of the footswitch (or more, to change banks, channels). if u had individual pedals each, imagine changing settings and tapping several pedals, there's a limit to what a loop switch can do.

well, for me i would like to get the EQ first because i would like to play with more natural sound and try to find my own tone/sound. it's like, pumpin the energy of my bass. yes, i am a beginner. haha! i prefer to learn more skills and know my ability first. after that only i go for other effects.

digital multieffects i'm not sure whether it has EQ or not. i prefer not to use multieffects with my current level of knowledge and skills.

There's already a thread on this topic. I'm going to merge both threads later.

HI guys my very first effects pedal was a BOSS BE-5M very Old school multi effects...
user posted image
http://www.bossarea.com/other/be5m.asp

inherited from my unc from the 90's

has all the basic effects : chorus, digital delay,OD/Distortion/Compressor

using it till today until one day the chorus suddenly failed...ALL THE OTHER EFFECTS STILL WORK FINE biggrin.gif

I like using this coz it has dedicated knobs and switches for each effect (no menu surfing)

to lazy to go and get the chorus fixed (might be a connection prob) so might wanna sell it off cheap cheap.

waiting for my next BOSS ME-50 to arrive drool.gif

The Boss ME-50 IS a great unit..... perfect for people who want just multi-FX without Amp modelling.....

Hope your new ME-50 comes in soon man! In the mean time, why not post pics of your current setup on the flash us thread!

My first 2 pedals were purchased simultaneously and they were the Jim Dunlop Volume Wah & the Boss DS-1.

Am saving up to buy a modified DS-1 called the DS-Ultra after hearing rave reviews about it. Either that or a Boss Digital Delay.

Was using a Digitech RP3 (first multi-effects pedal) until recently when I bought a Boss GT8. Looking at the way I play, I think I don't deserve to use the Boss. LOL, need to spend more time on it figuring out how it works.

First things first..... the Boss ME-50 only produces effects...... not amp modelling..... So if you are looking to plug in your guitar and make it sound like going through a JCM800..... you're outta luck.

The GFX-3 does support some form of amp modelling, but the quality of effects can't compare to the ME-50.

BOth of them are different units for different purposes.

my 1st multifx pedal is the zoom 505 2...and my 1st stompbox is a digitech hot head...

the zoom is still working nicely and the hot head is giving me the distortion that i've been looking for....will try to get the zoom G9.2tt by the end of this month...been eyeing on that multifx unit for quite some time already...
