Ah so you want a bass effect?
My 1st pedal was a Boss MetalZone MT2. Frankly, the dist was too kao for versatile use. |

Have you checked out the Zoom B2.1u???
http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/products/b21u/index.php It's resonably priced (should be about 500 ringgit range), it performs quite well, has most of the effects that you will need to play around AND has a USB interface to record to your computer. Or if you don't like Zoom, you can try out Digitech's BP80 or BP200 products. Doesn't have a USB plug, but according to some, performs much better compared to the Zoom.... SHOULD be around the same price range. But if you REALLY have cash to splurge on, Check out the Digitech BNX3.... http://www.digitech.com/products/bnx3.htm |

My first was the Yamaha Magicstomp. Still loving it... the effects on it are killers, especially the reverb and delay... unbelievable...

Oh, my first stompbox was the DS-2, got it together with my first guitar. I wanted to get the DS-1 initially but Woh Fatt only had the DS-2 and the Metal Zone.... Arrr... used to think it was THE distortion hah.

If you're talking about GUITAR effects...... I think my first pedal was the Zoom 505, 2000 limited edition silver one..... Then added on a GCB-95 Dunlop wah (Got it for my 21st Birthday).
I then got the GFX-5, and added in the ZW-44 and now, the ZW-45. I think you can get the B2.1u at Chambers in Sungai Wang or Bentley. Also.... since on the subject of Pedals..... Dunlop FINALLY came up with a Slash Wah!!!! http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php?page=pr.../p_and_e_detail Looks REALLY killer and would be a good alternative to the Crybaby from Hell or the Wylde Wah..... |

I was at Bentley just now and the Bad Monkey is there. List price was RM190??? i think my 1st pedal would be digitech bad monkey...... but still hestitate which pedal should i get btw the digitech bad monkay and boss ds-1......gimme some advice pls....Thanks.. Both the DS1 and BM are different pedals. The DS-1 is a distortion pedal that provides you heavy tone that reminds one of the grunge era, eg nirvana's smells like teen spirit. The BM is an OD pedal and at full gain, it should sound like ermm... perhaps classic rock bands like Cream & AC/DC? |

Like most people, my first pedal was a BOSS Metal Zone. Thought it was the best pedal ever, now? It's horrible.
