GTX 760 still a nice sweet little card. I think will still hold strong, don't worry. Until AMD releases their mid range lineup, then maybe....haha. But regardless, I think AMD will only release a new GPU, Hawaii for their high end series. The rest will likely feature respin cards (hopefully not direct rebranding), much like GTX 770 and 760 did. biggrin.gif But if AMD did somehow sell the respin HD 7970 at RM799, I think this is will become the most recommended card in Hardware Q&A. nod.gif

Yeah, competition is always good. I for one, never believed in a single monopoly by any single brand. biggrin.gif

Nvidia vs AMD, I will probably still stick with Nvidia due to physX (unless unjustifiable price vs performance). Can't live without it...... blush.gif

Note : Now, don't anybody start debating on whether physX is needed or not..... tongue.gif

Agreed, that is also one of the reason that I do consider when getting a graphic card. While it's true that most game engines will employ some form of their own physics engine, I see the PhysX as an added feature. I mean, if we can get this extra "perk" just by having Nvidia card, why not? Some will argue that PhysX will greatly affect the framerates, and it's true actually, but can be remedied by cutting down on anti-aliasing (or just stick with FXAA). A great example is Borderlands 2, playing with the PhysX effect "on" looks so much cooler, and doesn't tax much on performance. That's why, after trying out a plethora of graphic cards, finally I will always end up with a Nvidia card. tongue.gif

Thanks.

That's about the same distance I'm away from my HP-ZR24w @125%.

I think I'll need to go kacau someone to get a 4k demo unit and see how comfortable I can get while coding.

One more question: Any particular reason you took PQ321 over something like say PN-K321 or UltraSharp 32?

Waaaaah! So rich... plethora of graphic cards!!! laugh.gif I get to try a new card every.... erm.... 3-4 years.... sad.gif

Don't forget a 2nd lower-end physX card running together with the primary card (Nvidia or AMD). Of course, I'm the single-card guy.... biggrin.gif

Next game with physX that I'm waiting for is Batman Arkham Origin..... drool.gif

At the time of purchase, only the PQ321 was whitelisted to work with the beta drivers supporting 4K via tiling. It's only when the beta driver gets into several revisions that the KN321 was supported. Plus, KN321 was USD5500, versus USD3500 for the PQ321.

Some suggested the two cheap Seikis but horrible tearing on those. 4K30 doesn't help. You get what you pay for I guess, cheap = corners cut.

I remember that the PQ321 was quite popular in the media, more so than any other 4k monitor at the time. The white knuckled waiting for the damn thing to arrive was epic though. biggrin.gif

Hands gatal, wanna try them out. tongue.gif But I sell them off once i'm done with them. The only one I know of which actually have a stash of graphic cards is none other than our goldfries. biggrin.gif If only can loot them off like in Diablo 3, LOL. drool.gif

Looking forward to Batman Arkham Origins too. Always enjoyed all the Batman titles. nod.gif The much hyped for Splinter Cell Blacklist was nice too, good storyline but then dated graphics engine; but nevertheless I thought it still looked good. rolleyes.gif

You had the honor of trying out a 4K monitor well before me. Granted, not for gaming, more for publishing, but hey, 4K is 4K. And that Big Bertha is 12 years ago! I can only imagine until you helped me get mine. notworthy.gif

If you're considering a Titan, I will suggest that you get a 780 instead. An overclocked 780, like the Zotac 780 AMP! (RM2299) can easily match a Titan (running at stock speed).

For gaming under 1080p, a GTX 770 is more than enough, even for the most demanding titles like Crysis 3 and metro last light. GTX 780 for 1080p is kinda wasted IMO.

got it.. but based on my understandings (not exactly the facts), gtx770 has similar performance with hd7970 rite? i just sold my hd7970 and looking for an upgrade so urm yeah..

gtx780 has how many % increment in fps compares to gtx770? stock to stock of course.. i wouldn't care too much about stock version and oc version as im going to run the card under water so probably i'll end up oc by myself..

Thanks smile.gif

Even 2GB is sufficient for most cases. laugh.gif

Yes, Zotac offers the best value for GTX series. Gainward 780 GLH is also good. Palit 780 Super Jetstream also not bad. smile.gif
