Quite happy with my MSI GTX760. Idling at 31'c at 34% fan speed in aircon room (set at 25'c).

This review also shows the advantages of MSI card : http://uk.hardware.info/reviews/4608/gefor...evga-vs-inno-3d

Asus doesn't fare that well while the Inno3D ichills looks tempting! drool.gif

Going to purchase MSI Lightning GTX770 since my AMD HD 5870 recently gone haywire sad.gif

Reasons for the transition:
- Top best cooling system thanks to TwinFroz IV cooling fans. The ~60 celcius temp even on full LOAD is really tempting
- CUDA! This is one of the main reason I'm transitioning from the red to the green camp since I'm going to run AviSynth that utilize the CUDA technology.
- Better drivers for most games, especially Metro series.

I wonder how much performance boost will I be getting smile.gif

The difference is phenomenal. thumbup.gif HD 5870 is roughly equivalent to GTX 560 Ti.

Thanks for the benchmark result. It's good to hear that! Just wondering whether 2GB is sufficient enough for 1600p gaming. Some said 4GB to be more 'future-proof'. I'm not going for dual or triple monitor setup any time soon, just a pretty good Dell U3011 for many years to come.

Sadly, I still couldn't find the reason for the decomission of my HD 5870.

I did a post on this earlier on. You will likely run out of GPU processing power before hitting the VRAM wall. For 1600p, something more potent like GTX 780 will be better, if budget allow of course.

It depends on him only.IF he wants to play games at extreme like Metro LL at SMAA 2x so he really need GTX 780.If he plays at low AA than even GTx 760 is more than enough.

Gigabyte version is quite overpriced here. For around RM1.5k budget, you may consider Zotac GTX 770 AMP! Edition or Palit GTX 770 Jetstream. Leadtek GTX 770 would also make a good choice.
