Cage became the omega?

- cage kill alpha, got reset ability from alpha power
- nobody got to see omega in real, nobody got to kill omega yet during that timeline
- so they thot only by killing alpha cud get d reset ability
- then along d story, cage kill omega
- cage got omega ability, reset to much longer timeline. but this time cage alredy know wat to do to see rita, as a Major rank, not as lower rank
- the scene wher general announce victory is victory at verdun, rita success
- so, the story doesnt end there, at d end , cage just happy to see rita again

General announce the Battle of Louvre, although he had no idea except large explosion happened. Not Verdun.

The victory was the final victory. General talked about how the aliens just lost their power all of a sudden and cease to retaliate and that the army will march on.

- Omega is dead: all mimic paralysed therefore all army sweeping across Europe without resistance

- The reset ability came from omega blood: the omega blood probably made Cage 's brain as the server now . Previously Cage only got Alpha blood, the network cable?

Thus cage is now omega n reset himself to earlier time line before he met general for the sake of story telling

- Cage didn't go to see General directly but he went to see Rita first coz he missed her

- Cage might not need to join the war coz they r winning anyway

- Rita n cage (dunno each other yet) live happily ever after

- Movie need happy ending

there the announcer only said there's an explosion at the louvre and all the mimics were rendered useless, so everything before that (the invasion, Verdun) still exists

Verdun happend before the big invasion of france. THe part where cage met the general is after verdun

the invasion i meant was the alien invasion as shown at the start of the movie, not human invasion at France

By rights, everyone died during that final attack on the Omega, including Cage. But the movie don't dare to end it with all our heroes dead. (And to be fair, it would not be a very satisfying ending if it just ended when Cage died.)

So the Omega blood infusing into Cage, causing him to wake up again at an earlier date, is just a cop-out. It's just to give a chance for Cage and Rita and J Squad to enjoy a happy ending. The Omega is dead, the war is won, everyone lives happily ever after. Cage will live a long and happy life and die peacefully of old age...

...and what happens after that, is not something you need to think about.
