No issue.
Example,
When new can go the highest point lekas highway with battery.
Now halfway, battery runs out, engine will take power away to recharge. Still can go up at 80 to 90kmh, not on full throttle.
Normal drive in kl, no problem, it doesn't try to charge while on throttle.

If I'm not mistaken, sudden fuctuation in hybrid battery level normally caused by weak / bad 12v lead acid battery. Happen to my car once. That was a few years ago. Changed the 12v battery, the symptom went away.


Happen to mine too. 2012 CBU unit, similar behaviour. Run out of hybrid batter just before Karak highway tunnel. First time happen during Christmas holiday last year. When new, still some left. Battery degradation after 7++ years. Not too shabby.

Normal town / city driving - still as strong as before. No degradation.

Current mileage 103,000km

yeah .. i'm thinking to check my 12v battery. I have strong feeling with that issue.

My car haven't run out hybrid battery yet ... but it goes down until less than half.

Let me change the 12v battery first .. and thinking of changing it to non-MF battery.

yes, you should periodically change your 12V even if didn't die, because it's harder to die when the nimh is doing the job. i bought on lesapda 11/11.

the old one can sell to old newspaper guy.

Any NS40ZL will do. Just drop by at any petrol station if you're in hurry . A bit pricey though.

As for my car, it's on 3rd 12v battery after 7++ years.

1st one - original Honda one (nearly 3 years),
2nd - Panasonic (3 years++),
and 3rd - dunno what brand el cheapo one from Shopee .

All MF. Install & forget... When the headlight significantly dim, then it's time to change to a new one. Simple.

Too lazy to look after non MF.

yeah, i have change my car battery to MF just now.
it really show need to replace battery when diagnos.
hope it will solved hybrid drain issue.
