QUOTE(psyeo @ May 15 2006, 08:59 PM)
haha, calvin, why do u state Original AP set on 1st page? it should be fake or counterfeit ap set Battery....as mine is Original Battery in a AP set phone, and IMO original means manufactured by SE itself, while fake or counterfeit means manufactured by other ppl not license by SE laugh.gif
*
Well how sure those are fake? What proof have I/you got? Just because it doesn't look like original midland, it doesn't mean that it's fake. sweat.gif doh.gif

Well, I am saying this because I don't want any dealer to blast me. thumbup.gif

I think so far only psyeo reported using AP set but with Midland like battery.
Bro, right now we all can't tell whether it's fake or not. We can only compare and original Midland and "original" AP only.

hmm....im wondering..is there any other users of BST-37 dat looks like mine? unsure.gif n my set was said to be all ori n full set by da dealer i bought frm

Yours look a bit like fulat's on page 1.

Come on, anymore Midland sets that can take pictures of their battery?

So far, all my colleagues with Midland sets look like what i have posted. Strangely it is Made in China Finished in China stated at the bottom and not Made in Korea Finished in China.

VS COM Explaination
==============

(Disclaimer: This is what i understand from VS COM salesman, if the information is wrong, then i apologize as i might have misinterpreted his explaination)

Last Saturday, i went to VS COM lowyat branch near the escalator. The salesman showed me a battery, it was like my Midland set also. Metallic like casing. In Carrefour endah parade, same as well.

According to VS COM salesman, AP sets (and some midland sets) sellers put in original batteries but mostly might have taken from old stocks such as from K600i (where the battery has paper like wrapping - I think it is true as my friend has one, got from Maxis branded K600i phone). It is still original battery, just older stock. (Probably to clear old stocks)

There's also what fulat mentioned in earlier post that coincidentally the same with what the VS COM salesman mentioned,

QUOTE(fulat @ May 13 2006, 11:32 AM)
calvin,
yours might be a refurbish battery according to the technical personal...and they are sure yours a ori one...

-vip3rleon9-, pengster,
according to them the battery was manufactured after 05W20 above. your battery might be imitation.
*
The metallic like batteries came out roughly 05W20 and above. So K750i batteries should be using the metallic like batteries.

Others could be refurbished, older original batteries stock or even worse, fake batteries.

Thanks for your input bro, do you mind if I use your photos for the 1st page.

Well, AP battery is still new I guess, average use allows my phone to last up to 3 days. Didn't really wait untill my phone died/critical battery low level.

Looks like some of us has been falsely promised by shops. sweat.gif

My dealer promised me only an "AP Original" battery and not an Original original battery. And they gave me what they promised. So, I can't make much noise about it. sweat.gif

Yup, but take note, it could be three things

1) Original old stock
2) Fake
3) Refurbished

I agree the metal wrapping looks genuine, the paper wrapping looks like some pasar malam made goods.

Not kena con. But your dealer played with their words. Like mine, my seller keeps on saying theirs is AP Original, so can't escape.

just another fact i wanna add, is that all manufactured parts are subjected to change anytime, like external casings, and so on.
this not only applies to accesories but also the phones itself, and the manufacturers need not to announce any changes.

k750's first batch proved to be quite problematic in the camera department,
lens misallignment and so on. After the first few batches, everything has improved smile.gif

so actually, comparing the batteries via external casings is not actually all that valid.
But then again, if its similar u get a piece of mind... so.... smile.gif

anyway.... the only difference on my battery is on the bottom it doesnt have that 2 dots on each side, others perfectly match.

Mine's a midland set btw.

It's quite true about what you said. However, pirated things in market is on a rising level. From cd/dvds to now memory sticks and battery.
