hi guys, i just joined your club
bought a 2nd hand Savvy AMT year 06 with 14k km on it. guess what price i bought it? comes with spoiler and full leather seat. still left 1 half year manufacturer warranty. i'm totally in love with the car, but it uses 15" rims so i guess the tyres replacement will cost me a bomb later. Added on October 30, 2007, 11:38 am QUOTE(iman_210 @ Oct 29 2007, 04:54 PM) guys, savvy is getting famous for being robust, i think not much problem being highlighted so far.be getting a 2nd hand savvy for my wife soon...what is expected to arouse (problems if any) from the car? another thing how much is the r3 bodykit? and what pcd does a savvy tyres run on? i'm not sure about the latest pricing of r3 bodykit, http://www.rthreeparts.com/priceWebSept06.pdf AFAIK, savvy's pcd is completely different compared to waja, wira, gen2, and neo. so no luck in exchanging rims with your other proton cars Added on October 30, 2007, 11:40 am QUOTE(soulfly @ Oct 28 2007, 11:27 AM) i think he's pulling my leg best price Rm38.5k wat a joke This post has been edited by gary_cheah85: Oct 30 2007, 11:40 AM |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Oct 30 2007, 02:20 PM) around 30k, price consider ok right?Added on October 31, 2007, 2:53 pm QUOTE(biggie @ Oct 30 2007, 04:09 PM) because of some smear campaign the price of 2nd Savvy is quite low. However, when you drive one, then you will realise what a steal the car is. still using stock tyres and rims?I own the car from 2005, and never regret a single second of that time. 15" is okay, but I do think 14" will add more zest to the Savvy. Size: 175/50/R15 Tire: Goodyear NCT5 what's the best price for the tyres? savvy's tyres very rare This post has been edited by gary_cheah85: Oct 31 2007, 02:53 PM |

QUOTE(nizamkhir @ Nov 1 2007, 11:37 PM) Hi there, I'am a 1 yr old AMT owner. These are the things that i advised to all AMT driver ho had that problem. any particular eason why BHP performs better?1. fill the tank with BHPetrol and see if there's any different. 2. Do warm up for abt 2-3 mins on cold start. BHP does make a difference on my AMT and some others.. so you should give it a try. then shell v-power should be better right? warm up 2-3 mins is not necessary, but just dont rev highly before the engine warms up. its because the engine lubricants still cold, not good enough to protect the engine. Added on November 2, 2007, 11:35 am QUOTE(iman_210 @ Oct 30 2007, 02:29 PM) haha...bought the 2nd savvy at a steal also...mileage only 7k otr and the car is only 1 yr old...now processing on the finance side... AMT or MT?so what is savvy's PCD? might be changing the 15 inch rims to aftermarket ones...tyres stay though... how much u bought it? This post has been edited by gary_cheah85: Nov 2 2007, 11:35 AM |

seems like everyone here prefer BHP, so far from what i've read from savoc.net BHP petrol contains the most additive(booster) which suits our savvy the most.
Anyone know which is the nearest BHP station in PJ? BTW i started to realize the AMT gear transition is not very smooth, a bit jerky from gear 1 and 2 probably due to usage of cap ayam AMT fluid by proton. Anyone here knows where to change the AMT fluid to D3F as recommended by renault? |

QUOTE(Benjamin1213 @ Nov 4 2007, 03:09 PM) My self i pump petronas from the day one itself. yeah, i heard about voltage stabiliser too, it can also improve ICE.for AMT probally u can try adding the voltage stablizer cause most of the savoc ppl say that after adding the gear changes much more smoother. for now, not enough $$$ so will only install it later. how much for a typical voltage stabiliser? |

QUOTE(kcy3ssm @ Nov 10 2007, 08:08 PM) Dont flame me.. since u have already sold the car, there is nothing much left except your memory.owned it...and sold it within 11 months.. that car sucks... the steering..the transmission the engine starts crying after 3K rpm even those old old taxis got betta transmission then the savvy sometime this problem..sometime ball joint problem.. stupid stupid stupid proton service centre ppl. I point them.tell them..see this is what u have to rectify and repair.. come back to collect the car again..guess what the fault still there as it is un touched.. at the end of the day just got sick of that sick car and the sick service and now life is much simpler and less stressful being on the foot. sorry guys but that's what i got from Proton Savvy!! i believe every car is not built equal, so your cat might be one of those with lousy QC. since your car is under manufacturer warranty at that time, you have all the rights to bark up the PESC management. threaten them if needed. to say old taxis got better transmission than savvy's AMT is rather ridiculous. this technology is developed by renault for spirited driving. savvy has the best driving pleasure if compared to cars of similar class(handling by lotus). so now what car are u driving? |

today just went to proton service centre to reset ecu or something.
the foreman uses the diagnostic tool to run some test on AMT. now my car feels less jerking. Is it normal for AMT to produce "tuktuk" sound when changing gears? i have not change to Renault D3 AMT fluid yet. |

QUOTE(nizam80 @ Nov 23 2007, 07:55 PM) Hi everyone. I currently own an October 2005 batch Savvy. I'm aware that the stock muffler rusts quite easily just after 2 years usage. Does the R3 muffler have the same problem? Can anyone who has used the R3 muffler long enough confirm this? Coz my stock muffler has developed a lot of rusts...... might as well change to the R3 muffler. i think R3 muffler won't rust so easily.some users have complained hotbits muffler might rust faster. wanna join me to get the R3 muffler? its November promotion only |
