Already stated the problems lor...no need repeat and repeat. Basically ok except for the sound thingy which dunno come from where...but it's not a major problem. The rear right door still hard to close even after SA fix it....and i'm still not happy with the petrol cover which is very hard to open even after they lubricate it (WD-40 again???...I think they just wallop and lubricate everything), but better than before.

Do you guys have hard to open petrol cover?? It really sucks such a simple thing can't do properly...maybe need to change the cap altogether??

Oh yeah...the fuel meter is weird...very hard to read.....1st bar can last 4km....last 2 bar will blink immediately and left 1 bar very soon...usually pump full tank only 25litres!!

So far latest fc is 14.xx km/l (i hope i calculate right), which is a bit better than my Myvi at 13.xx km/l (100% city driving).

What other cars ur friend considering?? Just psyche him to buy a Savvy and stay away from Viva...


btw, share another story. Called up Proton-i-don't-really-care again to complain about SC advisor telling me grandma story that Using semi-synth oil will void warranty for my Savvy...it turns out the I-care girl on the line also drives a savvy and she says she uses semi-synth oil! Ha-ha! Anyway, she say she contact the SC centre to clarify and call me back....let's see whether they're doing anything this time....

Nah...they insist on using mineral oil when i want semi-synth. Anyway, no harm trying Mach 5. But i'll go semi-synth next 10k service (or just go change to mach 5 again outside workshop at 5K if engine feels heavy by then).

Psyche him up lah...old car, lots of repairs needed, spare part hard to find, few people know how to fix, same money can get new car...blah blah...

Speaking of accident, i saw a Myvi on Saturday i think, in front of Phileo Allied Damansara (near the Sprint Damansara toll plaza in inner lane). The Myvi pointed sideway (front faced the wall, 90 degree turned), front quite kemek, but windshield intact with minor crack. No serious injuries i guess, as cockpit looks fully intact. I think 2 other cars involved also.

This morning another Myvi...wah-lau, behind me, want to turn into the left lane and bang by a Wira. I heard a sound and thought i was hit.....luckily, not me.....it was at the turning to go into Wisma Semantan from jalan duta....jam like mad this morning there for no reason, i'm sure it'll be even worst for people behind the accident just happened...

No need go SC, just go to any workshop and ask them to check and stop ur leak. Which SC you go? remind me not to go there....

Remember to top up ur oil also if neccessary.

I also kena once...but from KIA SC on my Sephia...worst is i was out of the country then...luckily my sister came over and notice it and she drove my car slowly to a nearby workshop!!!

That's very good fc for a Myvi Auto!!! That translante to 14.23 km/l!! I can't even get that on my Myvi manual. Most Myvi auto owner seems to be getting only 11 to 12km/l.

Do you use a lot of highway cruising? Mine is basically 100% city driving (SPRINT and LITRAK don't count as highway coz always jam!!! LOL).

I think better not...furthermore, who knows what it'll fry if ur VS is not installed properly.....especially with our cars like Savvy with lotsa propriatery tech and not so common wan...

Anyway, what benefits can get from VS? Better radio reception? Don't think it'll have any effects on FC.

Say, anyone seen any Savyy Lite on the road?? I have not seen even ONE. I think nobody wants a Savvy Lite....the STD version just another 3K.

Yeah..for another 3K STD, you get Alloy rims, alarm, power windows, spoiler and other minor stuff...no wonder most people will rather pay a little more.

I think the biggest cosmetic problem with Savvy Lite is the Steel Rim, the no paint handle, and it comes in either black or white only.

Proton should have at least give people some plastic to cap their steel rim ler!!! Cheap stuff only.

Still, exteriorly, i think it looks better than VIVA 660....looks like a dog's black mouth and arse....so kedekut and don't even wanna give some paint!!!

Actually, the rear wiper is quite useless, because Savvy rear window, like Myvi is already very steep, gravity will take care of the water most of the time. Just remember to apply Rain-X wil do.

Exactly...i chose the STD over the Lite when i bought mine for the same reason...furthermore, if u install ur own stuff, Savvy is not a common car...afraid those outside shops screw up some wiring etc etc and cause some problem here and there then no warranty....if it's common car like Wira/Saga/Kancil/Myvi then ok ler....coz everyone is familiar with it.....but this car better play it safe...

Wanna ask, is the battery for the new Savvy MF Battery?? I tried to check battery water level but cannot even see anything to open on the top. Can't find any wordings to indicate it is MF Battery either.


Any ideas? Benjamin, how about yours?

So far, under normal driving circumstances, i've hit about 4krpm at 120km+ (can't remember exactly)... i think this car the rpm is a bit high when u go higher speed.

People who hit 165km/h+....i wonder what's the rpm like?? 6k+??

Savvy 2 years warranty. Pay extra RM2xx for another 3 years warranty. So 2+3= 5 years.

Added on October 25, 2007, 4:08 pmFriend...dun buy Viva..serious...if u wanna buy P2, buy Myvi 1.3. Viva drives like a motorbike with 4 wheels due to it's 3 cylinder engine. This is an inherent 3-cyclinder engine characteristic.

1. Cluth is hard....i think some older models are harder. The new FL are not so hard. I've tested the old model before and they're harder than the new FL model. Anyway, once u get use to it, no problem.

2. Steering is not hard...try VIVA 850/660...THAT IS HARD!!! It is different from typical electrical power steering...it uses hydraulic steering....furthermore, with the handling ability of the Savvy, fitting a loose steering like VIVA will be a mismatch. You'll feel a lot of control.

3. You press harder than faster lor...ha-ha..(eat more petrol!). Anyway it has pros and cons. The engine doesn't die so easily even if u change gear at low speed...and i believe the final torque will be better due to the bigger engine size (compared to VIVA).

4. Huh? Got such thing meh? No such thing ler!!


btw, i suggest u buy Standard Savvy..only 37K+...Savvy lite apa pun tadak...unless u dun mind manual window and prefer to install ur own alarms, alloy rims, etc.... but remember, u might have warranty problem later if the 3rd party dun install properly and causes problem (Proton can blame 3rd party if problem arise).
