i c..
what about ssd vs conventional hdd?
*
u can try google search for more detail idea , i can here provide u some rough thought .

SSD have faster write/read speed , no fan running (so laptop become more silent) , produce less heat thus longer battery life .
A SSD can boot Window 8 in 5 second or around that value (assume its not having very much program that ll having high impact on boot time installed)

assignment ? uni usage ? go for s56cb , as its lighter (more portable) + maybe giving u a bit more battery life , but definitely vivobook dun have top class battery life if compare to zenbook .

I don't run cpu intensive program only do occasional dota 2 gaming and assignment stuff but
the price difference between those 2 models make me wonder should I top up RMM500 for
better graphic ( gt750m ) / better processor ( i7 )/ more RAM ( 8gb )

For Y510p, may I know what's it different with Y500? And whether is it available in Malaysia as I can't find the model in the Lenovo Malaysia website.

Y500 is the old model , we can conclude that Y510P is the successor of Y500 , which spotted Haswell refreshed I7 CPU and also The GT750M instead GT650M in Y500 , they both support SLI with corresponding extra GPU slot being installed . They both need a 170W adapter to provide juice for the SLI power .

Officially , Y510P hasnt released in MY yet , while there are many sellers in garage sell selling Y510P (US/AP) at cheaper price than expected retail of MY version of Y510P .
