QUOTE(vemp @ Sep 28 2013, 05:46 PM) Usually they give cheap charger & battery. I got my sentinel for RM30 with charger & battery, end up throwing the battery & charger kept it since I am not so sure how safe it is. Its a good start but you will probably change the charger & battery after that & if you are into vaping then you probably will start looking for different kind of tanks too.Option 1: Get that kit & see how it performs, if you think you can stop smoking & continue vaping then maybe can invest more on it later on. Option 2: Go full on quality parts since budget is not that tight |

I am still using the battery and charger lolz. I am an electrical engineer so I have all the tools to test the batteries and chargers. I am pleased to say that they are safe to use Option 1: Get that kit & see how it performs, if you think you can stop smoking & continue vaping then maybe can invest more on it later on. Option 2: Go full on quality parts since budget is not that tight However the batteries are unprotected so you must know what you are doing. No shorting, no misfire, and no over-current. The chargers are standard... only difference is that it won't charge till as full and as fast as the expensive intelligent chargers. |

I just start vaping 2 days a go and i love it.
I buy Innokin SVD as my 1st kit. I'm thinking to buy mechanical mods after this but i'm confuse. Why mechanical mods don't have tank? I saw a guy just drop the e-liquid into his mouth piece mechanical mod. Is that the right way? |

QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Sep 28 2013, 09:55 PM) I just start vaping 2 days a go and i love it. Mech mods are the batteries or PV as most call it and you can use your existing tanks on it. Only thing is that it does not have any electronic parts on it so it will deliver only whatever power left in your battery as it runs down. I suggest you read more before jumping on to mods as it is not for everybody. I buy Innokin SVD as my 1st kit. I'm thinking to buy mechanical mods after this but i'm confuse. Why mechanical mods don't have tank? I saw a guy just drop the e-liquid into his mouth piece mechanical mod. Is that the right way? What you have seen the guy using is a dripper tank or atomizer (or atty) which is rebuildable to low ohms for use with mech mods but not everyone likes using a dripper. Best you carry on with what you have for a few weeks then only decide what to get next. |

QUOTE(alexlimco @ Sep 28 2013, 09:55 PM) Yeap, those are unprotected too. The fool proof way to know if they are protected or not is to check the sides of the battery, along the body. If there is a fuse wire connecting the positive and negative side, then it is protected. |

At least thats what they are supposed to do la QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Sep 28 2013, 09:55 PM) I just start vaping 2 days a go and i love it. He is probably using a drip tank. Usually you drip it in your tank on the wick but people lazy like me will drip at the drip tip without removing the top cap of the tank I buy Innokin SVD as my 1st kit. I went from protank to drip tank & never went back. Taste & vapor production is awesome but sometimes boring la, need to keep dripping |

QUOTE(infernoaswen @ Sep 28 2013, 10:02 PM) I see, I have a habit of leaving my charging devices Is ok to leave it charging, since got auto-current-cutoff. The dangers are when you forgot to lock your firing pin on your mech mod and it auto fires... if it is IMR batteries, at most the battery will leak and stain. If it is li-ion, the temperature will go up till it burns. Those are chemical safe batteries, if anything goes wrong it wont explode. At least thats what they are supposed to do la He is probably using a drip tank. Usually you drip it in your tank on the wick but people lazy like me will drip at the drip tip without removing the top cap of the tank I went from protank to drip tank & never went back. Taste & vapor production is awesome but sometimes boring la, need to keep dripping Anyways unprotected batteries on VV/VW devices are safe since the devices have built in fuses. Just unprotected batteries + mech mod = dangerous. I converted my genesis tank to a auto-dripper smtimes lol. Same as dripping but u got a tank underneath! hehe Stopped using it coz it leaks like hell when you lay it on its side QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Sep 28 2013, 10:02 PM) So meaning that dripper tank can't hold many liquid as this itaste 30? People prefer drip tanks due to its massive vapor production and good flavour. Plus it is rebuildable so you can customize the coils, do dual coil, quad coil etc.Just put a drop or two, smoke then drop again? What is the advantage of this dripper tank? There are so many types on tanks nowadays. You got the traditional wick tanks like vivi nova, genesis tanks like RSST and Cobra, bottom feeder tanks like Fogger... the list goes on and on. Best way to learn quickly is to consult youtube |

QUOTE(larilagilaju @ Sep 28 2013, 10:02 PM) So meaning that dripper tank can't hold many liquid as this itaste 30? I normally put in about 5-7 drops for about 8-10 vapes. Then I keep it away until I need it again. Nice thing it works well if you like to change flavors on the go like me. Just put a drop or two, smoke then drop again? What is the advantage of this dripper tank? |
