Just assembled another rig yesterday

PD 805 + 965G-DS3 + Cossair XMS675 1GB matched pair + xfx7900GT yesterday hit 3.5Ghz then PSU bottle necked, cannot finish 3d2005.

Highest score was 8569. Today going to test with better PSU.

Temp was 40-43 idle 45-47 load. Stock cooler with 1 stack of 8cm fans tied in 3 x 4 format. Use separate PSU for powering the stack of fans !!

Pentium 805D can easily hit 3.6++Ghz... of course with overclocking any piece of device it depends on your luck.

I'm running at 1.56 volts at 4.0ghz...

Of course a C2D will easily beat even an overclock 805D... smile.gif

I wasen't want to compare c2d with Pent.D la fren..
Can tell me how much is PentD's CPU multiplier? Izzit locked?
When OC just adjust the FSB like c2d ?? and set optimum vCore rite?

Edit: Wao.. so good!! PentD can OC more than 50% (2.66 to 4.0Ghz) intresting rclxms.gif

ermm... im thinkin of getting pentiumD 820 2.8ghz for my pc....
izzit will run ok with stock fan cooling?

if i have to buy 3rd party cooling fan then i have to top up money$$, better i go for c2D...

i test my fren pc some time ago and the idle temp for this pentiumD 820 is 50*C and 64*C when playing game for a while... that aredi exceed the max temp recommended for pentiumD 820 rite...

the D805 multiplier is 20
it easily can reach 3.6 even w/o increasing the vcore
n i dun think u must set optimum vcore bro
might burn ur chip if no proper cooling provided sweat.gif
there is a max limit for a proc vcore i think(if not mistaken)
so puting it on the max would be a big no sweat.gif

Bro, IMHO, its better to just get a C2D...it will be cheaper in the long run and your cpu wont be obsolete so fast smile.gif

YA.. if don want PentD, then can take AMD.
Can get cheap c2d proc at bulk but their mobo still not cheap. If im not wrong cheapest one is RM 450.

selling off C2Duo E6300 now Only RM 580. Full warranty.
