Anybody is into down volting vcore? tongue.gif So far, i have managed to run my PD805 at 1.17x vcore @ 3.32GHz. Havent try lower vcore yet hehehe.
Temperature is great...never exceed 53C full load. Stock cooling + 120mm fan.

I do have PD805 with Ninja.

Using Asus P5RD1 DDR1 mobo with built-in x300se.  No vcore.  No vdimm.  No voltage adjustment at all.  Can change FSB.

Currently at 175fsb for 3.5G.  Voltage is default, but is between 1.18v - 1.23v.  Temp fully loaded with folding is below 45c.  Can be as low as 38c if at night and raining.

wow nice one there
load temp @ 45 oni rclxms.gif

managed to hit a stable 4ghz on a 805d. also able to hit 4.1ghz but I reckon my memory is letting me down, it does seem to be stable or either that its my mobo.

I wasen't want to compare c2d with Pent.D la  fren..
Can tell me how much is PentD's CPU multiplier? Izzit locked?
When OC just adjust the FSB like c2d ?? and set optimum vCore rite?

Edit: Wao.. so good!! PentD can OC more than 50% (2.66 to 4.0Ghz) intresting rclxms.gif
*
the D805 multiplier is 20
it easily can reach 3.6 even w/o increasing the vcore
n i dun think u must set optimum vcore bro
might burn ur chip if no proper cooling provided sweat.gif
there is a max limit for a proc vcore i think(if not mistaken)
so puting it on the max would be a big no sweat.gif

I was testing out another proc in my mobo for a couple of days....after that remounted my 805d...without wiping off and reapply a fresh coat of AS5.... my temps were all over the place...proc was thermal throttling even at 3.6ghz....lol...  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

(Note to self - reapply new layer of thermal paste everytime remounting CPU)  biggrin.gif

Took out my 805D, wiped it down...then felt kinda free, went and lapped the proc  rolleyes.gif

After reapplying a new coat of AS5...temps are fantastic...

In a non air conditioned room (proc running at 4.0Ghz)
Idle - low 30's C
Load - 50C
(load was done with 2 instaces of prime95)

Let AS5 settle then gonna try higher...lol..things ppl done with too free during weekends..lol

Will try to post some pics up later..wanna let it burn in first.
*
wow nice one there
50' c oni on load drool.gif
wat cooling u use? biggrin.gif

Using the water cooling kit from the Metalzone bulk. Its a whitwater waterblock with swifttech rad.

I'm curious how those other ppl can manage to clock their 805d's to 5 ghz plus, prbly using phase change cooling  flex.gif
*
yup i'm curious n frustrated sumore cry.gif
still cant manage to break the 4.0ghz barrier still cry.gif

*
hehe long time dun see this thread tongue.gif

last time around my PD805 can o'c up to 4.0ghz
vcore @ 1.5v...but then the temp
is crazy...on stock cooler idle 58'...load fail

so if u wanna o'c dis proc, use WC is the best option
