It's good for the price with lower end source like smartphones and mp3s

So, does it sound bad in high end gears?

It sounds quite flat (not signature wise) with poor layering on AK240 with DSD files. It still sounds good for the price, but the flaws really shows with higher end source.

Is xiaomi premium priced @ rm79.90 worth it?
Or should I go with baaic @ rm59.90?
P/s: which got better sound?

By basic you mean the normal gold v2.0/2.1 and premium as in the iF Edition?
Sorry haven't heard the iF Edition, but from what others have reviewed the sound quality is the same

That might be the older Version 1, based on reviews the gold V2 sounds better.

Just got an 2.1 Malaysia version from sales.
It is way better then some headphone i used before,but then i didn't use much IEM so it might need somemore time to test.

The range is really clear for the price thought.

Is there any significance difference between the audio quality of the piston 2.1 vs the basic one?

I'm not an audiophile by any means i just need an upgrade to my current almost broken samsung earphones. Will the 2.1 be worth the buy or should i go for the basic one for only Rm25?

The Pistons 2.1 that I have definitely more than enough bass.
This is coming for a JH Roxanne user

I think I got a fake/malfunctioned 2.1 or the sound is not to my liking. Perhaps m40x even without eq or bass boost is already brimming with bass that it makes me think it's balanced.

Is piston balanced in term of sound delivery because i feel like there's not enough output from the lower frequency range?
