Funny that the buyers have to assume the risk for developers. But then din't get any share of the profits that developers can get. Seriously we need law to protect buyers from abandoned development.

There was another abandoned condominium nearby called "Selayang Spring Condominium". The purchases manages to get refund for one of the block. Another block, they manage to convince all purchaser and developer to start again the project. All done, just waiting court order to safe guard purchaser before start work. i heard it coming by early august 2020.

you guys should explore this

Would u fully pay the loan disbursed for an abandoned project? Or would u rather spend the money somewhere else and keep the loan (and loan interest) forever?

but if you refuse to pay, it will just keep increasing and might caused bad credit score also....

Gov should fine the developer for abandoning the project, until they declare bankrupt.

Confiscate the property and auction off to other developer to complete

Yeah thats the dilemma... Should u settle the loan for nothing at all? Or should u just let it compound or pay only the interest forever?

Additional lawyer fees..... that make life harder.....
You see, when u not get the developer house, you pay the interest due to loan... furthermore, you sue the developer because u not getting the house, you need to pay the lawyers fees, court fees.... why let 1 property to.punish you twice.....

Best is to buy property that is already completed. Some Mah Sing property, u can get cheaper after completion.

There are no consumer protection for property purchase in Malaysia, why take the risk of buying a property based on artist illustration and the risk of it being abandoned?

I noticed that as well when today I passing by the construction site. It seems like the construction fence banners also replaced with new one and quite a number of workers at the site. Anyone received any news about it?
