One of the lucky guys I guess. Anyone know when the LTE model will be available here? Or if someone is going there later, if you don't mind, please do me a favor and ask them about it. Thank you! notworthy.gif

Get LTE if your area or the places you go to has LTE coverage. LTE is definitely more future proof
As for me my place no LTE at all and the probably it will have is in 2 years time ( according to my local Maxis center). In 2 years there will be more LTE phone choices and probably I'd have change 4-5 phones by than

My area LTE coverage very little but I go to places a lot which have a wide LTE coverage. For example, Damansara and all that, so it would be convenient to have LTE. But as of now, seeing the guys here get their phones, my legs and hands getting itchy already. It's like I wanna straight go to Sony KLCC now and get one. But I'll have to resist the temptations. Decided to wait for LTE. Hopefully by Raya school holidays it'll be available.

Well , since u travel often to Damansara , why not The Curve ? Besides KLCC , The Curve is the only other location for Sony Center . Besides , Sony dealers are already getting their ZU starting from today for KL and Selangor area , there's no need to go to KLCC for it .

Like I said if u wanted to scribble a short sentence or 2 it can work but it does not have any app that is the equivalent of the samsung s-note so u cannot actually treat the xz screen as a sheet of paper.

I just sketch the occasional diagram during discussions.

ZU is still useful as a phablet though as it is the largest device in this category

I see. Thanks for the info. I didn't know the Note's ability with the stylus was that...good. I have to revise my distaste for them laugh.gif

I asked. Guy wasn't sure. He said (with a lot of hesitance and sounding very shifty) "sometime next month". So take it with a grain a whole bowl of salt.

On a relevant note, he also mentioned the SBH52 to be released at the same time as the LTE version.

If LTE comes to your place and you bought the 3G version, then damn sien later. Haha. Or you could do like Uncle Benny I suppose. Just that like you said, not sure how the response of the general public would be towards this phone.

-----

Ok. I went to KLCC earlier today and fooled around with the phone for a bit. God almighty the phone is HUGE!

I've got relatively big hands and one handed operation was definitely a bit of challenge...but doable. Holding the phone in a natural grip, reaching the app drawer icon was almost impossible. I had to shift my grip to something bordering on unstable to be able to reach it. After opening the drawer though, reaching any of the apps on the screen was doable.

The phone may be huge, but imho, the weight distribution was very well managed. It felt very very light, but at the same time, sturdy. It definitely doesn't feel like a sammy (Not disrespecting you guys, just that sammys tend to feel plasticky and thus, fragile). I could hold the phone in one hand and navigate the screen well enough - unless, I had to open the app drawer. Dialing was also do-able with just one hand.

I tried to move the kb to the side (like the one shown in the vids) but didn't know how to do it. Asking the boy there didn't help either - even he didn't know how to do it. So not sure how viable it is for one-handed, text-based usage.

So to those with big hands, rejoice! One handed operation is almost possible biggrin.gif

I compared the phone to my pocket size too. Pocketable...but definite bulk. If you're wearing leather trousers...let's just say it'll turn heads. ifyouknowwhatimean.jpg

EDIT: just saw angelgemini's post about the staff discount. Interesting. Gonna check with someone if I can do that biggrin.gif Thanks man! Does this apply to accessories as well? Wanan get the SBH52 too if possible
