you need to know what is "hard to be replaced" term.. this term apply to good drilling engineer, that is why one of my friend salary is USD 1000/day..

bro.. it is not shortcut to get high pay.. it is market rate.. promotion for well proven performer does not mean they will receive 'market rate' salary.. sometimes you no need to resign, you just need to highlight about it if you have balls..

Depends on individual.. example: maybe in next 10 years, if the offer come from KL and I want to settle down, have more time with wife and kids.. I will choose new company..

You still can pursue your drilling job while working.. however, kindly check the employment contract, maybe there is clause mentioned on 'bond'

As long you can resign without penalty during 20 months training programme should be fine. Check on notification period of resignation. Your training with monthly salary right?

Your case is similar to bro codefuturama... We can't predict the future.. IMO, work what u have now while looking for your dream career..

The problem is they called themselves as an expert.. as bro azraeil quoted 'You cannot cheat your way thorugh the industry'.

I knew that.. Our experience still green compare to them..

Directly involve in oil & gas field or engineering will be hard..

Procurement..
1. Delivery term need to be mastered like incoterms 2000 etc..
2. Good in spread sheet as require you to prepare the commercial bid evaluation..
3. Not sure what system Schlumberger is using for MM (SAP?)..
4. Good in terms and contract..
5. You should not have corrupted mind..
6. Negotiation skill..
7. Good in communication.
8. Smart attire and well organized..

Tu laa.. 'CLIENT' name in your CV will make it better.. I'm considering to join one of non Malaysian Client.. It's office based, but I'm used to work in yard environment and receiving SGD.. not sure can cope with that.. But lunch time sure can cuti mata at KLCC...
Btw.. I'm IPTA graduate only..

Yup.. Is really hard to get a job with this company... Please ensure you are in 'sharp' condition all the time..

I have decided to join big player at KLCC.. Relax and cool down for awhile, find wife in KL.. Ha ha ha

In Malaysia.. Main Client is Petronas.. And follow by Profit Sharing Company like Murphy Oil, Shell, Talisman, Petrofac, Newfield, Nippon Oil, Carigali Hess.

The girl is only interested on my drift car.. Not the owner.. Huh..

when I was in FSO SEPAT project, there is one PETRONAS engineer... sooo cun one.. because of her, everyday I go on-board to update her on the progress..

its been 6 years I used to wear boiler suite in yard, now need to dress like Ryan Gosling.. For sure, play hard to get.. ha ha ha..
