in that case, try uninstalling everything related from Apple from your PC (ie. Bonjour etc). this will somewhat prompt the system to delete the drivers associated with it as well.

after that, reinstall the latest copy of iTunes. it should work.

getting an iPhone 5 soon (don't ask why I'm not getting 5S :v), just want to ask a few stuff from the users who have 16GB and 32GB version.

is 16GB enough for your need?

For me still enough for 16GB because i'm didn't store music and video, only for gaming.

how if my iphone 5 with charging sign but the phone still cannot switch on? anybody can help?

Not enough.
Depends on what you use your phone for.
Even games are about 1+ GB nowadays.
Am on 64GB now.

not enough especially when apple giving out those free apps like imovie, pages, keynote and so on. =)

Mine would last for more than a day if utilization is minimum but the thing is, 5S is much more battery consuming because of all these new features which requires data connection therefore despite the fact that you are not using it, the iPhone is still be active transferring data. if you really want longer standby time so that you will have more usage time, i suggest that you turn off most of the background fresh apps and some other apps which is automatically connected to the internet almost 24-7 to get new data to push it to your phone once available.

i only left vital apps like Whatsapp, Weather and Facebook (=P) untouched. Apps which i know i will need latest update off.

It really boils down to preference at the end of the day.

Take note also the amount of Apps running at the background, try to close them if you are not using them in the short period of time.

what do you mean by "cannot switch on?" and what charging sign you are talking about. elaborate more, your one liner isn't going to get you anywhere if we are guessing from thin air on your current situation.

Haha, i AM asking you why not 5S. I think the difference in price is about RM400.00, yes? I think for the difference you are paying, you will be getting more out of it in the long run.

I am currently running on 16GB and i tell you my rationale:-
1) i am not an App collector;
2) i delete Apps which i have not used for a long period of time; and
3) i don't need to brush through a forest of unused App just to get to the one i need.

Not sure if this is a valid point but it does make my phone look clean instead of having 1001 apps on the screen. Unless you intend to store large files in your phone for a long period of time, i think 16GB is sufficient. My fiancee has a 16GB and is complaining insufficient space because of the amount of camwhoring pictures in which she will not delete -.-

To me, the bigger the storage space, the bigger the chances you will horde items and the more items in your phone, the slower it gets.

Well.. the 5S for me is just another iP5 with some modifications to it, which doesn't interest me that much.

and it's not really all about the apps, I have a lot of music and video I listen/watch to while on the go and like you, I'm not an app collector, when I don't use em' that much I'll just delete them.

well, on top of the several modifications done to the 5S, the most appealing feature why i would suggest you to top up that extra difference and go for the 5S is because of the A7 chip. 5 is still running on A6.

though many may say that the difference may just be that it is arguable 2x times faster than A6, it has much more advantages to it if you read the reports in its entirety and amongst other, a 64 bit processor. to sum it all up, it could really gain more support in the future.

if you are already own a 5 then it's probably not a good idea upgrading to a 5S but since you're jumping into it from a whole new realm, the difference is really worth it. i was in your position only few months ago considering between 5 and 5S and i decided to go with the 5S.

if you are talking about videos then yes, you'll definitely need 32GB otherwise if you are just on songs, i believed 16GB will give you the amount of songs (at 320kpbs) more than you could actually listened at one go.

do consider, drop the 32GB iPhone 5 and get the 16GB iPhone 5S instead.

But if caller ringtone sound came out. If
I plug headset I can hear music like normally, but if un plug can't hear. Anyone can help me? When i increase sound button it came out headset sound.

its budget allow, get 5S for a long run, even 5 is enough for another 1 or 2 years.
i changing from 32GB iphone 5 to iphone 5S 16GB then change again to 32GB 5s.
When i use 32GB, i felt that i got bulk of storage, so i decide just get 16GB for 5s(add few hundred top up only),
after use 16GB, i only realize, im that kind of person that cannot see the capacity left below 2GB, XD
So i change to 32GB 5s,
and now i download all apple free apps like pages, keynote and so on.
So i suggest you get 32GB, especially you said for movies and music.

I put all my songs and videos in there for my entertainment needs, so you think 16GB for the Apps and some songs/movies would be enough?
