i hurt my lower back doing upper back (traps/lats/deltoid) exercise. usually i dont do lower back but today i hurt it so badly cause i think i lift too heavy and my lower back is reaching its maximum strength to support my heavy upper back exercise.
should i wear a straps around the back from now on? or leave it to recover and train lowerback before i can hit heavy upper back?

QUOTE(dirtymartini @ Jun 20 2013, 10:26 PM) which exercise? i had a bulge disc, had to rest it for a VERY long time. seated-cable-rows! mine back pain is left side of the lower spine.(not the spine itself) i hope it is not related to any disc injuries else it would be hell for me the next few months. how long does it takes for you to recover your bulge disc?

If you've hurt yourself, please see a doctor and get a scan. As much as the guys here would like to help you, non of us except darklight79 is a certified doctor. Seriously, see a doctor if it hurts. The pain itself is a pretty big giveaway to see a doctor

Only got one back and its a no-warranty item which is supposed to last you 80 years. Seriously, disc injuries are no joke. See a doctor ASAP.

See a doctor ASAP. working aint no body got time for that, lol jk. i think the injury isnt that bad because the pain only occurs during bending and slight pain while walking, i think if it's disc injuries related i wont be waking up from my bed this morning.

its prolly a muscle knot. u get that if u jerk while doing the seated rows. try using a tennis ball, and lie on it. if it hurts like a @#!!@!#!@$$, then stay on it till pain subsides. repeat till it doesn't hurt.

I wont be giving advice on your back problem, I'm not a doctor. Next time, don't forget to train your lower back. Romanian Deadlift, hyperextension can make your lower back stronger. You must be asking, why do you need to train your lower back? Well, it is the most prone injury bodypart for bodybuilders and it connects your lower body and upper body. Almost all exercises need the lower back as main body part or supporting the movement. Don't forget to train it. It's good having Big lats but weak lower back to support it is a big fail.

Know the difference between SORENESS and PAIN. If it's soreness, you can just rest it like any other muscle group. Strecthing helps. I use the tennis ball method before and after each session for the muscle im hitting. If it's pain, see a doctor ASAP.
