RHB bank treats the supplementary cards as part of the principal, all bills and points will go to the principal account.... but that also means the supplementary cards have no independent right to lounge entry....
On the other hand, Ambank treats all supplementary cards as independent cards, and billed separately....and you have to pay each card's account separately....and receive points separately.... upside, each card gets it's own lounge entry rights.... |

QUOTE(spicediablo @ Aug 27 2017, 02:33 PM) So, let's say if I were to exceed the amount of times allowed into the lounge, the bank will reject the 'transaction'? Never reached that point, so don't know, but I would think there will be a reject, and you will be asked if you want to pay with that card.... |

QUOTE(spicediablo @ Aug 27 2017, 02:28 PM) I have just entered lounge with my wife on June this year and was not charged for it(registered using our own respective cards). So, I think you might need to update your info. Perhaps give customer service a ring? Maybe you wife enters under your quota?....I remember it's not the same Ambank, where all supp cards have their own entitlement....By independent entry to lounge, do you mean that my wife cannot enter the lounge unless accompanied by me(principal)? Sorry if I misunderstand you. In any case, we both have principal cards so not an issue for us.... |

It's actually an added security measure....the code generated is real time, and time limited, so there is no risk anyone siphoning days from your phone can use it for other transactions.... it's definitely safer than simple tag through SMS....

QUOTE(laymank @ Feb 8 2018, 10:17 AM) It is for use in desktop web portal transaction too....a QR like code appears, you scan with your app, enter a pin, and the app generate a number, which you then enter the web portal to complete the transaction....The exercise will confirm you have the phone, and you have the pin for the app....safer than just SMS tag, where cloned/stolen phones can also receive....in this case, even if your phone is cloned/stolen, cannot transfer without your PIN.... |

QUOTE(charlesj @ Oct 2 2018, 05:56 PM) Cancelled my VS, which is hardly use (use for PPL only). They are free for life, and still the best cards for local ppl.....A week later retention dept called back offer me SST cash back, with 3 swipes in 2 weeks time. I have both WMC and VS, decided to keep only 1, so cancelling VS. Wonder I shall cancel WMC now |

QUOTE(charlesj @ Oct 2 2018, 08:42 PM) Yes, but since can't use both cards together for PPL (getting strict), don't really need to keep both I could still bring guest with same bank's cards last month, so it appears ppl will still want to maximize income....Will keep for another year and see how In addition, each card has a 5 entry limit, so if you travel a lot, you need both.... |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Nov 11 2018, 05:46 PM) Just found out that RHB VISA INFINITE CREDIT CARD gives out unlimited PPL access, FCFS up to 1000 per month. Some more no annual fee! I think the vi is only for their premier banking customers....and the terms for ppl entry has changed.... unlimited if spend over a certain amount a year, otherwise limit 10 entries a year....Any catch on this? Does it end very fast? Any hidden min spend? Curious to know. However the ppl list is limited, local and Changi, HK tpe, LHR only.... It's free for life.... Emm...just found out got 2 versions ....the "normal" one is as above....but only local ppl and Changi.... This post has been edited by limeuu: Nov 11 2018, 08:52 PM |

QUOTE(roticanai92 @ Nov 18 2018, 02:12 PM) thanks for the info! do you know if their min income requirement is a hard limit? I'm earning less than 150k, but the lounge access is attractive, so not sure if worth my effort to try apply. The "normal" one is limited by 1000 entries per month under the scheme, so possible later in the month, is all used up, you will be denied entry....I see, so normal one is unlimited local and Changi PPL, but no min spend required. If premier banking, then it comes with global PPL, but also 10x a year limit with a min spend requirement. Is that correct? |

With the tightening of lounge access by especially ambank (previously unlimited entries and people misuse it in the land side lounges), I think the crowds should be thinner....
The Aerotel ppl is under utilised, due to limited cards allowing entry.....but it helped reduce the crowds at gateway ppl.... The main congestion is at the KLIA ppl....but the last time I used it in August, the crowds also appears thinner.... So stricter conditions is a good thing.... Food is nothing special, perhaps with the exception of tgm....the main use for me is the showers.... especially before a long haul red eye flight.... Finally, if income level cannot meet the vi requirement, just get the Vs and wmc lah....5 entries each, making 10....for local lounges.... good enough..... QUOTE(delon85 @ Jan 28 2019, 10:20 AM) PPL for most credit cards are terrible now. No....banks clamping down on abuses of cc lounge entries by people who are not traveling....at the landside lounges....Guess a lot of people hold those "priviledged" cards now. I already warned this will eventually happen.... |

QUOTE(charlesj @ Jan 28 2019, 10:22 AM) All (International Departure) for KLIA2. I believe they will ask for your international boarding pass. Yup, Penang domestic also removed. QUOTE(DM3 @ Jan 28 2019, 10:23 AM) QUOTE(charlesj @ Jan 28 2019, 10:26 AM) Read RHB new T&C, all KLIA2 lounges included "(International Departure)", hence I believe only valid for those with int' boarding pass. Unfortunately, the new guidelines is silent on entry into gateway...no mention of "international".....so unclear....The ppl domestic business is going to be severely affected..... |
