Matrix's block doesn't bundle with any thermal compound. Lucky they've included thermal tape for RAM and VRM.

290x is out. Aaaaa.....
*
I never used any of the stock thermal tape. I replaced all of mine. tongue.gif

You planning on getting? brows.gif

At first I want to get it. But mind is set on CL. I'll be working soon, so not a bad idea after all. Wont have time to game much after this. Just have the time to stare at the case and the loop. sad.gif
*
Looking forward to see your CL case arrive. I personally would buy one, but cash is not something I have a lot of right now. tongue.gif

Separately, Dimastech is starting to splash around in water cooling. They've introduced coolants and radiator shrouds, among other things. They even have a water block, which looks like a rebadged XSPC Rasa/Armageddon water block.

Also, who knew Feser has been secretly making radiators! The "Admiral" brows.gif

Holy. That radiator is thick! Wonder if I can use it in my car. tongue.gif

It's quite drool worthy really, fully assembled and tested in Germany, removable panels ala XSPC AX, and apparently a 6 meter long flow channel. blink.gif shocking.gif

so...Feser is alive again with some great stuff eah.. wanna ee that new Feser rad against Monstaa

Monstaa thicker, and I think beats the admiral. Though quality and lastability, the admiral wins.

WC manufacturers are making things opposite of what I want. sad.gif
I want a slim, desk mounted fanless external radiator. But I guess I'm minority. sad.gif
*
Alphacool st series. 30mm thin, low FPI so it's alright to use fanless.

Would a 240mm be able to cool a GTX660 and Intel Xeon E3? And do they make a desk mount for it?  drool.gif
*
If ST30, no fan, it'll probably struggle or wont' be able to cope. No desk mount, unfortunately. If you're really into the desk mount passive radiator look, only one direction to go in. Phobya Xtremes, Watercool Moras, or Koolance's HX-CU1080. Though for desk mounting or rather mounting it in general, the Moras have the best variety. Be prepared to pay through your nose and also explain to customs wth it is. Coz I think someone on the forums here has one and customs thought it was for car use.

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Oct 26 2013, 01:39 PM)
BTW, anyone has experience with Alphacool passive radiators?
*
AFAIK, Alphacool isn't very popular here. To my knowledge only Oretega and I are using ACs, there may be others but inactive or hiding. And I know there's a white Alphacool 360mm Monstaa out there in Malaysia somewhere coz I brought it in for someone who sold it off. rclxub.gif

Not sure how accurate/up to date/true this thing is or whether it works, but if it's correct, nohal, you might want to reconsider the the caselab.

I thought computer parts are duty free.
Don't scare me, I have a case coming in from Taiwan. sad.gif
*
They should be. But I've dealt with customs before and I can tell you that they are not exactly consistent. If the value of the item exceeds certain amount then have to be careful I guess. Best is if you can get the people sending it to declare as gift. laugh.gif

And I hope it comes before April, otherwise who knows what will happen.

Everyone thought like this, bro...but only complete computer system (input, output, storage & processing unit) that got duty free under Tariff Code #84.71 xxx. If seperated, still consider as individual item which is fall to it's own category.
*
This is true. And if the item class got tax or if got overlapping clause, then moneyflies.gif

QUOTE(Lucassss @ Oct 28 2013, 01:44 PM)
I've bought really expensive CPUs and RAM online before, no duty charged.
Let's just hope I'm lucky this time around.  rclxms.gif

They also see total value. If below certain amount or quantity they sometimes let it slide.

If anyone is looking for a bay res pump combo, this is definitely a buy in my list.

https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=3010026&hl=

It's an old model, but a good buy coz even then the new revision model costs like RM500. shakehead.gif

Calculated it might cost around RM3500, got a quote from Carla from CaseLabs. But after all the dirty dishwasher taxes, prolly go till RM5k.

WTH. you can buy a LDPC locally AND still have money to buy more than decent watercooling parts.
