We must look forward... those EOL sets, let it be... who knows maybe one day they'll re-issue again, with new code/name like
60031-1: City Corner lol...
*
Lol EOL sets are nice to drool at but it's out of reach. So guys, if you have any pending sets that you thinking to get and is nearing EOL, better get it fast before the price slowly increases till beyond reach hahaha

Yeah, the XL motor does churn out quite a bit of torque... flex.gif Perhaps you need to bank the tracks at the curve to prevent it from straight-lining the bends...

The stock train motor is only good enough for the standard 3-4 cars length setup depending on how heavy it is, anything more and it will not work... Even two Horizon Express coupled together a single train motor cannot pull it off the start line...

As what you highlighted, if you want to pull a long train two issues need to be addressed:
1. Need more torque from the motor(s)
2. Need more grip from the wheels

Wah! I envy your perfect box! drool.gif  My set looked like it got run over by a truck... cry.gif
*
bank the curve ... hmm ... maybe can try the idea.

10219 Maersk (motorized) can pull all its cargo and all 7939 carriages (except head)

My box ? Hand-carry tongue.gif Found a deal at similiar CS price, so just grab first. I got one only. But you ordering more for yourself

Wow! So many pages to catch up on today....

Finally all the Lego tycoons are coming out of the closet. I'm sure there are plenty more lurking around here. Why deny it? Why so humble? Why not just embrace our love/addiction for these plastic bricks and admit that we are TAIKUNS! After all we spend so much of our time and money on Lego... smile.gif

Yeah, like how they bank the curves on the race tracks... While you are at it, you may want to consider erecting safety barriers to "catch" the trains in the event they derail... icon_idea.gif

10219 Maersk you motorised with XL motor or stock train motor? 7939 carriages are very light, so easy job to pull all of them... hee hee icon_rolleyes.gif

Fingers crossed that the bulk order I can get my hands on a mint box! No la, I'm ordering only one for myself, the others are for my friends! biggrin.gif
