QUOTE(INoHome @ Nov 27 2013, 05:34 PM) Hmm... Now I knew it's fake but their customer service is very good and I received my product in a nice package too. What the hell? Its not fake. They're using Newegg's name while they have no relationship with Newegg. Basically they're just an US shopping agent with fancy NewEgg name. Hence why the service charge etc. |

I e-mailed to Newegg Official regarding Newegg Malaysia being a legitimate subsidiary to Newegg.com to support Asian countries but unfortunately they are not. However, they are middle man/agent to help users purchase items from Newegg and send to Malaysia. Their services price is so much lower compared to all the ones in Lowyat.net Services. So, their so-called upgrading system is just a facade to cover up whats happening behind the scene, maybe official Newegg has sent them a warning letter to stop their business from using their name or so. I really hope that they will be back soon, since I have many things to purchase from them They could just change their business name to something like what other local company names (e.g. CyntrixTech/Heavyarm/Idealteach/etc) and move on with their business. |

They're changing their business model to something else >>> http://www.myezlife.com.my/ No idea why they're going that direction but my guess is the lack of capable workers. Almost everyone who works there didn't know a thing about PC component and wasn't sure how to handle the repairs or to make sure the RMA complain was legit. Also, the guy in charged apparently used up most of the fund to spearhead this project on his own MyEzLife project. As for their legitimacy, they have a picture of CEO Fred Chang christening the opening of the head office in Empire, Subang. This post has been edited by angelaers: Feb 2 2014, 02:25 AM |

Seems there are some people who tried to RMA their RAM having some difficulty contacting them. Not good impression. Hopefully, we could see some inexpensive and variety of stuff sold on their site. Could not find much info on this website nor pictures of their office launch. |

Yeah tell me about it, I saw those pictures along with an article from a business magazine which I for the life of me can't remember the name.
The article talks about a huge business convention where a Malaysian female CEO met with Fred Chang, was given a tour of their packaging and logistic department, she was amazed by the efficiency of the whole proses and convinced Fred Chang to open on in Malaysia. |

hopefully u guys don't mine if I bumping this old thread. just like to know more about this newegg Malaysia and from most sources I found they are not legit. Anyone knows how to read these legal notice?
https://www.docketalarm.com/cases/Californi...man_Tang_et_al/ If I'm not mistaken, newegg US is sue MD of newegg Malaysia under Nature of Suit 840 Trademark. Means this newegg malaysia is NOT the newegg US and they just using newegg name in malaysia telling people that they are same as newegg US? pls correct me if I'm wrong. I just curious and would likes to know more. |
