They do not have a store. If they had a warehouse in Malaysia, that would cut down on the shipping cost and more people will be buying from them.

yes they are legit. based on the posts on their facebook page alot of people has already bought stuff through newegg malaysia. my friend once bought his N7 from newegg malaysia also. they don't serve as normal local tech store, just a channel for those interested in getting stuff from US's Newegg for the price.

I am still sceptical, but prices on newegg.com is really low, even after the X3.2 conversion into MYR. So basically you see what you want from newegg.com and order it via the facebook page?

To be fair, they are not listed as a part of newegg on newegg.com's website. Did some poking, although price is slightly cheaper, but after add shipping, customs/VAT. In the end not much difference

Just to add on, Newegg Malaysia has added their own service charge 10% for all goods. Probably this service charge is used to pay shipment within Malaysia even though they say shipment within the country is waived. The service charge does not waived shipment cost from USA to MY. Also, they have now included Malaysia Custom Tax into their invoices without informing you. Seems like scaring away new customers and shooting themselves in the foot. sweat.gif

the company is however registered. but do take note it is registered as 'new egg' instead of Newegg (the US company registered as Newegg Inc., at least in whois)
i dont care if they got a good response from buyer, but what really bother me is how they handle rma, even if it is legit and how far newegg US will handle any possible problem.

Its not fake. They're using Newegg's name while they have no relationship with Newegg. Basically they're just an US shopping agent with fancy NewEgg name. Hence why the service charge etc.

That's correct. I e-mailed to Newegg Official regarding Newegg Malaysia being a legitimate subsidiary to Newegg.com to support Asian countries but unfortunately they are not. However, they are middle man/agent to help users purchase items from Newegg and send to Malaysia. Their services price is so much lower compared to all the ones in Lowyat.net Services. brows.gif

So, their so-called upgrading system is just a facade to cover up whats happening behind the scene, maybe official Newegg has sent them a warning letter to stop their business from using their name or so.

I really hope that they will be back soon, since I have many things to purchase from them sweat.gif

They could just change their business name to something like what other local company names (e.g. CyntrixTech/Heavyarm/Idealteach/etc) and move on with their business. smile.gif

Nah, nothing as interesting as that happy.gif
They're changing their business model to something else >>> http://www.myezlife.com.my/
No idea why they're going that direction but my guess is the lack of capable workers.
Almost everyone who works there didn't know a thing about PC component and wasn't sure how to handle the repairs or to make sure the RMA complain was legit.

Also, the guy in charged apparently used up most of the fund to spearhead this project on his own MyEzLife project. icon_idea.gif
As for their legitimacy, they have a picture of CEO Fred Chang christening the opening of the head office in Empire, Subang.

Thanks for the update. I just checked their facebook page again to see any news, but not much.
Seems there are some people who tried to RMA their RAM having some difficulty contacting them. Not good impression. doh.gif
Hopefully, we could see some inexpensive and variety of stuff sold on their site.

Could not find much info on this website nor pictures of their office launch. hmm.gif

Yeah tell me about it, I saw those pictures along with an article from a business magazine which I for the life of me can't remember the name.
The article talks about a huge business convention where a Malaysian female CEO met with Fred Chang, was given a tour of their packaging and logistic department, she was amazed by the efficiency of the whole proses and convinced Fred Chang to open on in Malaysia.

hopefully u guys don't mine if I bumping this old thread. just like to know more about this newegg Malaysia and from most sources I found they are not legit. Anyone knows how to read these legal notice?

https://www.docketalarm.com/cases/Californi...man_Tang_et_al/

If I'm not mistaken, newegg US is sue MD of newegg Malaysia under Nature of Suit 840 Trademark. Means this newegg malaysia is NOT the newegg US and they just using newegg name in malaysia telling people that they are same as newegg US? pls correct me if I'm wrong. I just curious and would likes to know more.
