When he's fully charge and put on the red shirt again on Sept 28th.
Boom!! Dia akan melancarkan gelombang serangan demi serangan ke Sunderland yang tiada Mignolet jadi GK mereka kali ini. brows.gif

I personally am not too optimistic about the quality that luis alberto and aspas can offer for us.

I'm just happy that LFC are making purchases (so early in the transfer window some more) to show that they are in it to challenge for trophies. If anything, they add more depth to the squad. I'm not expecting much from them both.

Henrikh Mikytaryan on the other hand, is someone i have high expectations for if we land him.

whenever he plays, he gives 110% no doubt. hopefully he can concentrate and happy playing for the red shirt again... and more importantly, to realize what an honor and great feeling to be a red

Unlike the situation with Daniel Sturridge who is a sure thing, I know nothing about Aspas, Mikhitaryan and Alberto so I am in dark just like you.

Well, we were in the dark about Coutinho until we saw him playing. So I take it that BR knows what he's bringing to the team and wont repeat the famously claimed $15mil pounds mistake in Joe Allen. biggrin.gif

We should b Optimistic. That's Life. We should b Optimistic in everything. That's the way to drive Us forward. Without it..it's meaningless to watch or to do things in Life. Cheers..

I am optimistic... of a top 6 assault. Optimism needs to come with dosages of realism or one could easily be labeled as being delusional.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a poster who tells you that I've been pessimistic throughout. I've been supportive of FSG and Brendan Rodgers all this while. It is important at the same time to realise that the transition process from a club in debt to a profitable one is a long one. Success will come in stages. Also, we've signed promising players but hardly world beaters. We've got a good squad capable of competing against the big boys but we also need to reel in our expectations and embrace reality. I am optimistic of our chances on the long term and fully support the vision laid forth by our owners and gaffer. Like them, I do not think it will happen quite so soon as much as I hope it will.

QUOTE(Chris Lam @ Jun 24 2013, 11:48 AM)
Just found 1 article..Nice craft what i'm being "Optimistic" this season "Chance"
We will undoubtedly have a potent forwardline should Suarez stay and Mkhitaryan finally put pen to paper but I don't think any of us can offer anything more than assumptions and speculate at the moment. I try not to dream of "what ifs", preferring to focus on "what is". I don't see how we'll keep Aspas, Alberto, Coutinho, Sturridge, Suarez, Sterling and perhaps Suso happy all season, having them fight for only 3 spots. Didn't mention Mkhitaryan because he can always drop back into a midfield role. Something has got to give and someone will move.

Even so, I still think we need strengthening in the other half of the park. We scored goals last season but we conceded a fair bit as well. Toure will feature on a rotation basis and we still need someone permanent to partner Agger. My bet is on Kelly should we fail to land a new signing. Johnson will likely be leaving next season and Wisdom may go out on loan so we need to look ahead and groom a successor. If Johnson leaves it will also leave us short of options on the left. There is also the question of who comes in should Lucas be injured or suspended? We don't have a defensive midfielder worth mentioning.

A successful football club is all about having a good starters & impact subs...If we got competition...the group will immediately raise their game coz they know if they can't perform..others will step in. Last year we didn't have that privilege. But this season..we will have. Of caused some will leaved. This is the part of football..unlimited talent go in & out. Only the best will Play.

Cheers.

Unlike the top sides you've mentioned however, we don't have that many games to offer them. We aren't even in Europe and unless we go on a deep run in both or either domestic cup competition, we will only have 40 odd games to play over the course of the season. With the World Cup looming and players looking to book themselves a ticket to Brazil, it remains to be seen if they will be content with bench roles. One thing we do have in our favour is that Suso, Alberto, and Sterling are young whilst Aspas was never in the Spanish squad anyway so they may be content with being rotated.

Yes it's good to have attacking options which is why I said earlier that if anything, these signings will improve our squad depth. I also commented on the article you posted earlier, stating that I do not believe any of the players we've signed so far will be first team regulars (not in their first season anyway, bar Mkhitaryan should we sign him), hence why I'm apprehensive we'll finish in the top four next season. I do however believe that we are not far away from challenging though.

I am not sure too much changes will do any good to the squad.

The fact that we are said to be considering the possibilities of removing Downing, Shelvey, Coates, Skrtel and Reina from the existing squad means there seems to be a big overhaul of squad.

The team coercion will be affected and I dont think that's a good thing.
