I think it is important to note that a trend is only an indication of what *might* happen next and not what *will* happen next. Although they say the trend is your friend, it only serves as a guideline, not an absolute. There are too many factors locally and around the world that could affect the stock market at any given time. You could have our index showing a 5 point increase every day for 2 weeks which means an upward trend, but it does not mean it will continue that way as anything can happen anywhere around the world that could affect the market to suddenly go down. Trends are only best guesses based on everything staying the same as when the trend was projected. Otherwise, it would be predicting the future instead. Its like flipping a coin or choosing black or red at the tables, which is about your best guess and probability and your luck as you really don't know what will happen next.

We have many type of investor here.
Some are super long term, for example our mod cherroy 
Some choose a stock based on yield. pana jie 
Some value investor like gark 
Some value investor + speculator Sky1809 
Some trader like Bone, Boon , Ultra man , keuwteoloew etc.. 
Some are timing trender, only will come out during bull 
Some only will come out during bear market 
and of course some punter   

Yea, I didn't say that trader must be fully trading based on chart.Some of the trader only trade very few of the stocks within a range of period for example 1 -2 years before the moving another few selection.

I just help this forum to classify the type of investor here, but the trader side too generalise already  . Sorry didn't mention some of you, because there are too many people to recall

I just mean People  these days do not just trade purely on charts n charts only. Somehow, Fed Ben name could appear in pro chart analysis  report ones.

No system to share. Mostly read here and there, check on tips and info, point and shoot hoping for some pocket money.

For short-term traders, I guess the key is to identify which stock is going to breakout and move upwards. That is not easy to do. Sometimes its analysis, sometimes its luck. Sometimes its from tips or info from others. Problem is that this method could also cause you losses if you get caught in a pump and dump game.
