hope it really gets better in terms of dialogue delivery. i am still in Hercules world, i find that some of the delivery isn't up to standard of Disney characters, for example, meg's delivery, that just feel like she is reading the line
KH 2.9, like others have pointed out. After that a lot better, you will notice more lines, and etc. I have a lot to complain as well on Olympus, especially the part where Phil is there, but he doesn't talk.

oh yea, that as well. Felt phil was so out of character by being so quiet. Then thought that if they not intend to hire the vo for phil, why not just remove him from the scene completely. Felt so strange for phil to be a quiet potato

Yeah exactly. The characters feel so lifeless. And the pauses between each line delivered makes the dialogue awkward af.
It's only the first world that the dialogues is meh.. After that it gets better. What a waste tho skipping, and not enjoying it fully. You do you I guess. Me on the other hand will take my sweet time in the game, and explore everything, no point rushing to finish it, it probably take another decade and a half for the 4th game
If you're still in the first world, that's fine, not much good dialogue. Everyone elsewhere is talking about how it sucks, but after that tho it's pretty amazing so far for me. Would recommend you to watch all the cutscenes.. it's way way better.
Hopefully that's true. I've played till Twilight town and the issue still persists. The delivery and tone makes the entire dialogue lifeless and dull.
Also, anyone playing this on PS4? I seem to suffer from a bit of juddering.
Lol the "stable" mode is even less than "stable" than FFXV when it launched. How did they even managed to F this up so bad is beyond me, considering they shifted the entire game to UE4.
Anyways, the game doesn't live up to my expectations. The is so much bullshit going on that before I even reached anywhere near the end of the game, I didn't really care anymore. Nomura couldn't salvage the mess he had written and it's obvious that shortcuts and shoehorning things into perspective was done just so the series would finally have an "ending".
Welp, the charm lasted a good while but it never stood the test of time IMO.

Story - the story is pretty good. It ties up a lot of loose ends. - the story doesn’t add any confusing elements and it’s not complicated if you keep yourself updated. - however this is coming from someone who has finished KH1, COM, KH2, BBS, 358/2, DDD multiple times. - voice acting is pretty good.. The directing and pacing is kinda bad though. The awkward pauses is really bad sometimes.
Gameplay - its not locked 60fps but well... I wasn’t even expecting this. - the battle system is an evolution from the previous games. Kinda miss the drive forms in KH2. But I guess this isn’t so bad. - Gummi Ship is amazing. Been missing that for the past 10 years. As BBS, DDD doesn’t have this. - maps are huge. Way larger than any past KH games.
This game also seems easier to plat compared to KH2 remakes.

Maybe a bit late, so I read somewhere the Japanese VO for Phil passed away and in Japan they were paying their respects in this game by having Phil but not replacing with another VO. So that's the reason Phil doesn't have any dialogue and when it was localized to English in the West afterwards they didn't hire an English VO.
finished the game, platting it now my view after completion:
- i felt the story content is less than kh2, completed the main story without rushing in 32 hours - disney worlds feel like padding on the game and main core of the story happens after 2/3 of the game - tons of fan service after 2/3 of the game - the cliffhanger at the end seems forced for future installment - voice acting definitely got better after Hercules world
overall, still an enjoyable game albeit disappointed if compared with kh2

For me, it’s really just a fan service for hardcore players like me.
I do feel a bit disappointed when the main story just rushed all the way till the end. (Well, truely “tomorrow” for those who finished and know what I’m saying)
However, the combat system is a plus here and I do agree I kinda miss certain keyblade system in Birth by sleep.
They made the magic system very grand this time and I keep spamming it a lot.
Let see what Nomura gonna plot after this. I don’t wanna spoil most of the things
