Game seems to be kind of " dated " if you ask me .

No HDR support , which is a shame because those fancy looking moves could use some help from the highlight boosts . No options to switch controls for R3 edition so you are stuck with the " X to confirm , O to cancel " , not a very big deal but if you are playing another game at the same time it gets a little confusing. Other than that it is still the same KH we adored and loved .

The level designs are very impressive , especially the transition from smaller zones to the large & open places . You may also walk(climb?) on the wall now to reach some of the higher platforms . Makes you want to stop by and admire the beautiful settings from the Disney worlds. Sadly you still really can't hide the distracting UI and they don't ever fade away out of combat (except for the mini map which can be turned off if you found the map from that particular world)

The interaction with the environment is really cool . Bounce off the wall for short burst of speed or spinning attack from the pillars .

A lot of very flashy moves in the game , much more so than the past games .
Cast enough magic and you get to do a co-op with Donald , use enough physical attacks you change into second form and a stun special with Goofy . Hit the green target for an ultra flashy group attack ,
real time switching with different keyblades for special finish . Not to mention the bonus attacks with the guest from the world , links summoning , keyblade transformation , you will never run out of things to press !

Traveling between the world on your gummi ship is a lot more fun now , hitting the heartless mark will start an encounter putting you into the good old Galaga style arcade mode .

The PS4 PRO looks to be running on 1440p . There is a 30 fps capped (stable) / uncapped mode for both consoles . I didn't measure the frame rate but I am fairly sure the uncapped isn't hitting 60 fps in combat , more like 40-50 , probably.

Some QQ on the saving points , you want to make sure you have got some times before you are off to play the game . There was an occasion where I had to watch cutscenes after cutscenes for longer than an hour , with no interval to save at all . There is an autosave function but they don't activate often during cutscenes , you are bound to lose some progress if there is an interruption.

p/s: if you didn't play the past games it is fine to jump into this one , there is a long list of videos with narratives from past games at the main menu.

Too bad there is no Eng Jpn billigual Voice over option.
I've seen some leak footage, the english voice acting still sucks for non Disney characters

By the way, mind to share how old you guys are?
I'm over 30 and married now, it's kinda embarrasment to play this on big TV while my wife and family walk around in the living room... especially any is coming ! Dilemma man

Embrace that side of yours, wear it like armor. Hahaha.
This could be a good bonding activity too. After all, everyone likes Disney.

Cant wait to play it too. Just too bad I’ll probably only have time after CNY. Despite the fact I’ve preordered the digital copy since July last year.

The performance of KH3 on the PS4 and PS4 Pro is.... not good, but not bad either. Passable to say the least.

PS4 unlocked FPS = averages 50fps
PS4 Pro unlocked FPS = averages 41~45fps

PS4 locked FPS = 30fps with inconsistent frametime, judder is fairly obvious.
PS4 Pro locked FPS = 30fps, almost no judder, very stable.

Interestingly enough, the game does not support auto downsampling. So those on a PS4 Pro but still on a 1080p TV, you are locked to 1080p resolution unless you enable the forced supersampling option from the PS4's menu. That said, the average framerate on the PS4 Pro running at 1080p is 57fps, nearly locked 60 in many areas. BUT, if you lock the framerate to 30fps on PS4 Pro at 1080p resolution, you get judder just like the normal PS4 locked at 30fps! This is VERY puzzling.

Not sure what the hell is happening on that last part, but basically;

PS4 Pro owners with 1080p display - play with unlocked framerate OR force enable supersampling if you want to play at 30fps with higher internal resolution.

PS4 Pro owners with 4k display - play with 30fps locked mode. The unlocked fps mode is just too low and way too inconsistent.

PS4 OG owners - play with unlocked framerate, the judder on the 30fps mode is just like the same issue with FFXV. Squeenix can never get their shit together it seems.

The cut scenes were more than 30 mins i would say. After having played 3 hours, i've skipped countless cut scenes as often times a 5 minute cut scene (even if wasn't 5 mins, it sure did feel like it) does little to further the story. Also, the dialogues are bland and the delivery is slow which takes the life out of the characters.

Maybe i'm just a little impatient after having waited 13 years haha.

It's only the first world that the dialogues is meh.. After that it gets better. What a waste tho skipping, and not enjoying it fully. You do you I guess. Me on the other hand will take my sweet time in the game, and explore everything, no point rushing to finish it, it probably take another decade and a half for the 4th game laugh.gif

If you're still in the first world, that's fine, not much good dialogue. Everyone elsewhere is talking about how it sucks, but after that tho it's pretty amazing so far for me. Would recommend you to watch all the cutscenes.. it's way way better.

Went and collected my deluxe box yesterday from Impulse Penang branch.
Box it self is quite simple and nice.
Attached Image
I got the blue keyblade key chain. Kind of prefer red one though.
Attached Image
Inside the box, there are hardcover art book, steel case and of course the game itself. The quality of the Art book is totally no comparable with Switch Xenoblade Chronicles 2 200 pages hardcover one.
Attached Image
The brooch pin bundled in the box.
Attached Image
Front of the art book.

Some of the characters.

Some of the minions

hope it really gets better in terms of dialogue delivery.
i am still in Hercules world, i find that some of the delivery isn't up to standard of Disney characters, for example, meg's delivery, that just feel like she is reading the line doh.gif

Just to check, there's no dlc inside the case right?

I thought i have saw somewhere that pre-order will received special keyblade with different elements for each of the platform (PS4 and XB1)?
