Any recommendation for a tablet with these features?:

3G sim card slot
At least 16gb
Android Jelly Bean
7-8 inch
Quad-core
Around 600-800?
*
For that price, you may want to consider the Asus Fonepad hmm.gif

Only issue is that it isn't a quad core..

or the Lenovo A3000.. MediaTek quad core, 8GB storage (expandable via MicroSD), dual SIM, 7". RM799 though.

Or the Nexus7 3G hmm.gif

Dear All Sifu,

What is the comment about the Onda v813 Quad Core VS N80RK??
Which one is better?
Is the retina display play well at display?
How about the CPU performance between these 2 tablets?

Thank you~~~
*
Retina is good, but gaming performance may suffer.

Between the Onda and the Vido, the Vido has better CPU performance, but the Onda has better GPU performance.

Do you prefer gaming or not?

this tablet mainly for my wife use, for youtube streaming or surf web.... so gaming maybe for children use....
Not for heavy gaming...
In term of CPU performance, will it be lack during web surf with heavy loading page on Onda?
Is the CPU performance for both have big difference?
Currently also looking for the spec of Onda 972, which is 9.7 inch...
*
Might be a bit lacking as the allwinner processor is based on the cortex A7 architecture, while the rockchip rk3188 is based on the Cortex A9 architecture.. the A7 is newer than the A9, but its more towards power saving than performance.. at the moment, for china tablets, the most powerful chipset is the rockchip rk3188.. until cortex A15 starts to appear, the best choice would be based on the rk3188...

Had a quick read through some reviews, and the reviewers quite like it.. If you can find a good unit locally, then it's a good choice..

Hi ericmaxman would like to know which is the best tablet i can get for RM 400 - 600. currently i interest to buy Vido Mini One. any other recommend tablet ? mainly use for web browse + gaming (not so heavy). i want smooth, battery can stay longer. thank you
*
Mini One battery quoted can last for ~6-8 hours. Maybe more, depends on usage. That should be your best bet as it has Bluetooth, 2GB RAM, 7.85" display (same unit from the ipad mini), and a very slim body.. Cases for the ipad mini can fit the Mini One... Only need to drill out the holes for the speaker..

Need some recommendation from sifus here. .

Prefer mainstream brand because better software update IMO, might consider non mainstream brand if available in Melaka.

Budget around 1k.

Need some capacity for video storage, a decent pair of speakers, 7 to 10 screen...

Using it to watch movie offline mainly and browse Internet.

Thanks.

Asus Memopad Smart 10.

1. Brand: Any brand
2. Budget. (RM500-RM750)
3. Specs: Prefer 1280x800 res because I mainly watch 720p movies. Good processor so there's no lag when watching movies.
4. What you need in the tablet: I want 7" or 8" mainly for viewing movies. I don't quite understand why 7" is true 16:9 and 8" is not. What happens when I watch 720p on 8"? Also, the screen needs to be good especially color reproduction, black levels etc. I also would like to browse and read books on it too. Not so much for games. Wifi only is also ok. If possible can take notes i.e. pen would be a bonus.
*
Used Nexus7 maybe?

Watching a 720p on an 8" screen will have very big black bars, top and bottom.

If you can afford the tab3 8.0, then go for it.

specs wise it is much better than the A1.
