2. Budget. (RM400-500) tell me how much do I need to topup for a better performance
3. Quadcore , good screen and hope its build doesn't feel too cheap

1. Brand. Mainstream brand? - Something straight forward to root, custom roms availability is a plus.

2. Budget. - If possible below RM900 new or 2nd hand with atleast 3 months warranty.

3. Specs.
- Enough RAM and processing power to perform (4)
- Need Data instead of WiFi only
- Can set up WiFi tether
- Prefer atleast 8" screen but willing to take 7" if out of budget

4. What you need in the tablet
- For smooth usage productivity intensive apps and multitasking instead of gaming.
- as a productivity tool at work as well as entertainment(minus gaming).
- to avoid needing to use home desktop PC for normal surfing and web-browsing to save that little bit of energy consumption
- plan to get a stylus pen for it (be it universal or samsung's)

What model is that?

Asus Memopad HD now at RM445 only. 

What is its biggest gripe for this model?

Im still deciding between Memo pad HD7, and Fone pad, and Eee pad also since directd sell it really cheap 

beside tablet, I was planning to replace my old phone too as to tether with it. If there is option to get both in 1 device why not? 

But then I will miss the quadcore experience, plus Im going to hate the fact that I have to carry it everywhere while being unable to fit it in pocket 

but if I take HD7, sooner or later I will likely to get new high end phone.. then the tablet will mostly be forgotten
