QUOTE(kazarboys @ May 7 2014, 10:12 PM) I just got back this morning. Yes, it's 200K/pax ... I only reserved 300K for two pax but luckily I have extra 50K. So the remaining 50K paid in MYR .. They increased the tax from end of March 2014. |

I went to Lia's Cafe .. affordable, good service and good food. Make sure to arrive before 5pm to get a good seat. First row seat normally reserved for hotel patrons nearby unless u called up and make reservation. I was lucky that I was able to get second row seats even without reservation and just able to watch the sun set with my wife. Took the Package 1 from menu cost around 250K which includes prawns, clams, 1/2kg grilled fish, squids, a plate of vege, 2 coconuts drinks and dessert which is more than enuff for us. PS: add 10% tax so it's 275K nett. Tripadvisor recommended too This post has been edited by stevenycs: May 10 2014, 01:09 AM |

Just spent the weekend in Bali, was really great. At Nusa Dua there is probably the best Nasi Campur Babi Guling in Bali -> Pak Dobiel
All taxi drivers seem to know where it is... even though its in a run down shack |

Found this place called Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku over at Ubud. Cheap and nice. It's some sort like nasi dagang/campur. Has it's own restaurant but surprisingly no fan inside but quite windy at some point.
Another affordable place would be Bamboo Corner over at Legian. All sort of food from seafood, western to locals. Had their nasi ayam penyet. cheap and nice. lotsa backpackers and as usual tripadvisor approved. This post has been edited by stevenycs: May 15 2014, 09:14 AM |

Good view and the staffs are friendly and don't force u to buy anything. Got a tour of how they produce the luwak n the main attraction luwak himself being feed by me. haha~ 650K a bit too pricey for my trip. The most expensive dinner we had was 395K over at Maliboro Ayam Lunak on the first night. We had two chickens, one steam fish, belacan vege, taufu and two drinks .. super full .. Just for sharing my itinerary
Day 1, PICK UP AIRPORT 18.40pm - JIMBARAN - Dinner: Ayam Tulang Lunak Malioboro - can try for first timer - Walk around Kuta Town. CHECK IN Febri’s Hotel & Spa @ Jalan Kartika Plaza, Kuta Day 2, KUTA - ULUWATU TOUR Start 08.30am - Ground Zero Memorial - Pantai Kuta - Lunch: Bamboo Corner - cheap backpacker restaurant behind Legian streets .. nice - Nusa Dua Beach - walk around n if u r lucky u c something that u expected .. - Tirtha Bali Chapel - nice chapel if u r lucky can go in and have a look n pic .. js say u surveying for location - Garuda Wisnu Kencana & Kecak Dance - can skip also actually - Pura Luhur Uluwatu Sunset (Uluwatu Temple) - must go but careful of monkeys which will snatch anything - Dinner: Lia’s Café @Jimbaran (sunset dinner) - highly recommended BACK TO Febri’s Hotel & Spa Day 3, UBUD TOUR Start 08.30am - Sukawati Market (best market, skip the rest just shop here!!) - Goa Gajah Temple (Elephant Cave Temple) - can skip - Gunung Kawi Temple - can skip - Lunch: Babi Guling Ibu Oka - must try for the first timer - Tegenungan Waterfall - can skip - Penglipuran Traditional Village - can skip - Kehen Temple - can skip - Pura Tirta Empul (Holy Spring Temple) - can visit n get yourself wet - Dinner: Naughty Nuri's Ribs - must try CHECK IN Biyukukung Suite & Spa @ Jalan Sugriwa Ubud Day 4 KINTAMANI VOLCANO TOUR- BEDUGUL - TANAH LOT TOUR Start 08.30am - Taman Ayun Temple – just visit for the sake of completing my 4 must visit temple list .. - Pura Ulu Danu @Bratan Lake – must go to see the floating garden - Lunch: Babi Guling @ Ibu Oka - Bedugul Botanic Temple - can skip unless u going for their adventure stuff similar at taman cahaya shah alam - Tanah Lot (Sunset) – must visit ... make sure go early n have some ice n wait for sunset - Dinner: Bebek Bengkil / Dirty Duck - must try but u can also try bebek tepi sawah CHECK IN TEGAL SARI UBUD Day 5 TRANSFER AIRPORT 21:20pm - Ubud Market - last min shopping but didn't bought much - Nasi Ayam Kedewatan Ibu Mangku - nice cheap nasi campur - Kintamani Mountaint (stop and take pic) - Mount Batur + Lake Batur - Besakih Temple - oldest and sorry to say a very commercialized place, careful of being hassle. - Tegalang Rice Terrace – take pic and jalan - Sebatu Agro Tourism - for luwak tour and coffee testing - Last minute we went Carrefour n bought lotsa foods like indomee note: Sukawati has the cheapest stuff. whatever price they offered, just slash like 60% or more depending on your budget. i got myself a big oil painting for less than 400K when they offered me 900K in the beginning .. js to show how much u can bargain. Besakih Temple is the oldest and quite far from town (2hrs) so you won't miss much if you skip this since the ppl there not that friendly as compared to other temples. they will force u to "rent" their sarong no matter how you wear unless u got a sarong yourself (10K). somebody will forcefully ask u to engaged a tour guide which u can strongly reject and he will again asked for donation which you can say NO again. js go in n don't speak to anyone. Lia's cafe, make sure u make reservation to have first row seats which they reserve. i managed to get second row cause i walked in n right before sunset. lucky me .. for two pax can order their 250K package which include fish, prawns, squids, clams, vege, coconuts etc. Airport tax been increased to 200K/person since end of Apr 2014. So take note to save money or worst case like me you can pay in RM cash ... conversion rate is really good, better than money changer over there. |
