Hi guys..I'll be arriving at Denpasar airport around 3am on Sunday. Our hotel stay starts on Sunday (normal check-in hours-3pm).

1) any decent place nearby the town or airport I can put up with until my check in time at the hotel? (Budget hotel for family or hourly charge room)
2) Or do you think normal hotel will allow 'early check-in' as early as 6 am?
3) Or any activity to kill off the time until my hotel check in?

this is my first time, (just manage to get cheap promo from MAS) and travelling with one adult and 2 kids

Thanks
*
errr.. no early check in bro.
but usually if its around 12-1pm they might consider depending on the room availability.
guess you gota check in other place for a night stay and check out by 12noon tho.

well... I was told that the Naughty Nuri's at Batu Belig aren't serving the authentic bbq ribs as the one served in Ubud
their menu also slightly different, as I was told also the Batu Belig is just a franchisee
want to taste the authentic one you'll have to go to the original one in Ubud drool.gif

who told me this? the spa taukehnio beside naughty nuri in Ubud laugh.gif

Dear all, how much tax do you have to pay at the airport during the journey back ? Ive seen varying amounts between 100k - 150k per pax.

Which is the right amount per pax ?

i'm a single traveler and wanting to visit denpasar, ubud, bedugul and tabanan. i found this guy who's offering a tour to visit all the places i'm interested in. his itinerary is as below:

For Kintamani Tour , you can see (Tour with motorbike, the price is IDR 275.000 that including petrol and parking ticket) but not including entrance ticket and lunch. :
1. Barong Dance, ticket is IDR 100.000/pax
2. Goa Gajah, ticket 15.000/pax
3. Tampaksiring/holy spring temple, ticket 15.000/pax
4. Temen village, visit the place make coffee and natural product
5. Kintamani/volcano and lake batur, ticket IDR 20.000/pax
6.Tegalalang rice terrace, ticket IDR 5.000/pax

For Bedugul tours, you can see (Tour with car IDR 500.000, not including entrance ticket and lunch):
1. Taman Ayun, ticket IDR 20.000
2. Jatiluwih, ticket IDR 20.000
3. Bedugul/temple in the lake, ticket IDR 30.000

So total for Kintamani is 430,000 and Bedugul is 570,000. All in all is 1mil. Do you think it's worth it? I heard it's not easy to get around as the places are far apart. and i can't ride a motorcycle.

Its quite high I think you can just hire a driver for 350000-400000 per day to bring you everywhere.

i just came back from bali. first full day i visited kintamani / mt batur, tegalalang, tampak siring temple, shopping at sukawati and ubud market.

next day i went to bedugul n tanah lot and the third day i visited nusa dua beach, uluwati n watch kecak dance.

last day was a free and easy n i took blue bird taxi to the airport. much cheaper.

this is a few things that i noticed during my trip

1) in sukawati, if u want to buy tshirt for souvenir, when u want to check the quality of the shirt, they would give u a better quality 100% cotton sample, but the shirts nicely wrapped in the plastic are not the same quality. so please be careful. n everyone knows u can bargain up to 80%.

2)please dont hire pak wayan company. the driver was nice and helpful but their management conned me n my wife. initially they quote me 1.3M for 3 and a half day PLUS return airport transfer. but on my 2nd day they asked me to pay another 350,000 for a half day and 100,000 for an airport transfer. i showed the sms to the driver and when the driver called the mgt, they said the half day was the first day when they picked me up in the airport.

anyway it was a good trip. bedugul was my favourite n if u plan to swim, nusa dua is nice.

Guys,

I need to finalize my itinerary for my visit next month.Plan to go there for 4D/3N from 11th to 14th Jan with my wife.

Day 1 (no supir)
Arrive at 12.30pm
Booked already Tune Kuta
Place : Kuta Beach, Uluwatu, Jimbaran

Day 2 (hire supir)
Check out Tune Kuta and heading to Kintamani. Might visiting nice place around there, having lunch.
Check in - hotel area Ubud. Not booked any hotel yet. Still looking.

Day 3 (hire supir)
Check out Ubud and visit Tegallalang, Sukawati etc
Check in - hotel area Nusa Dua. Not booked any hotel yet. Still looking.

Day 4 (hire supir)
Nusa Dua beach, last minute shopping.
Depart flight - 7.45pm

Question :
1. Is it okay if i dont hire a driver for day 1 ? just take a taxi to jimbaran and uluwatu?
2. Pak Wayan quote me 400k for full day. okey?
3. Which day should i slot in visiting Tanah Lot?
4. My plan is to save a bit on hotel expenses on day 1 (that is why i booked Tune hotel) but another 2 day will find a nice hotel at Ubud and Nusa Dua.

Any comments?
