If I were you, I will still buy travel insurance for headache free reasons eg flight delays, lost of luggage, sick/admitted etc etc. We wouldn’t know what will happen to us in other countries. After all, it’s not that expensive.

only the app and bring hard/soft copy of vaccination for inspection at airport upon arrival.

Do not need immigration form, just fill custom form before exiting airport.. paper or thru app (scan at custom queue)

Those who have been to Bali recently, is it easy to get a Grab/Blubird taxi easily in say Seminyak, Kuta or legian area?

Which sim card is cheapest to get for say 7-8 days?
I don't need calltime, just data to communicate with driver and check info

Just got back from Bali yesterday. Everything was smooth even at the immigration line and took about less than an hour to clear and exit the airport.

Grab and indriver are quite cheap in town compared to using the bluebird teksi. But if you plan to go for an tour outsite town area, it’s advisable to get a supir/driver. Let me know if you need one.

As for sim card, Advisable to buy telkomsel for good coverage etc. Don’t buy the sim card at the airport as it is expensive. Ask your driver to bring you to buy it outside for cheaper price. Like for me, my driver always buys me local sim card whenever I come to Bali.

Grab is not cheap in Bali, especially if take from airport. Going to airport are almost half the price.

It's cheaper to get a private driver for 10 hours/day at 400K rupiah (grab form airport to Kuta are already 180K)

Sim card can buy from Shopee.

Can a tourist buy a local sim card outside of airport? Need to go to telco office or available at any local shop/supermarket?

Yes, appreciate if you can share driver contact

Thanks for update!

Have not decided which area to stay after few days stay in Nusadua.
Just thinking if say stay in Legian/kuta, would it be difficult to get a Grab/taxi to/ fro restaurant in Seminyak. Am thinking for certain days, probably don't need a supir as just going to sneak around the small lanes, etc n just chill

Tourist Sim card available at most tourist area. I saw at least 5 small stalls that sells in Kuta, they also sell at Ubud, Sanur usually near tourist hotspot.

For just a meal not far away, I usually get grab car. Plenty around Kuta area.

Yes, you can. They will just need a copy of your passport for activation. It's best to go to a phone shop.

In Kuta,Legian and seminyak area is easy for you to get a grab. Don't neet to worry. Try downloading indriver app as it is slightly cheaper.

I have DM you the contact of the driver. Been using them since 2016 and my 9 time trip to Bali.

Hi, among these 3 hotels, which is the best location to stay?

Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa
Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali
Holiday Inn Bali Sanur

It's going to be a family trip with young children. Which area would be most suitable? Thanks!

Anyone knows if our Malaysian vaccination certificate (digital/printed) will suffice as part of required documentation at Bali airport?

My uploaded certificates on the Peduli Lindungi is still "pending approval ". I read somewhere that the "approval " may take like forever

Just got back from Bali. They didn't even bother tp check our vaccination certs at the immigration. If they do it randomly, you can show it using our mysejahtera app. Do carry a hard copy just in case.

Before flying, my wife tried to link our cert to their Peduli app, until today it's still "pending approval".

I swipe using my cc most of the time. Only use cash for entrance fees and roadside snacks. Cash in hand was only 1 million rupiah = RM304. Stayed for 6 days and 5 nights.

Back in the days, I used Cimb atm card to withdraw cash from CimB Niaga ATMs. There were no charges imposed and exchange rates were better than our local money changer.

Just checked with CIMB, this is still valid. No charge at CimB Niaga ATMs, RM10 fees if at other ATMs with Cirrus logo.
