hey guys, anyone here came across not being able send or receive sms before??

i dont usually send text messages, and it didnt occur to me that i hadnt receive any sms lately, till today when i wanted to sms someone.

i'm on Umobile, data works just fine. i can make and receive calls just fine.

i've tried googling around, and some pointed out to the SMSC thingy in the phone info via *#*#4636#*#*, i've tried that to no avail.
even tried switching to a blackberry, just to save the sms settings(which had the SMSC settings there).

cant restore from back up too, since i'm a hero, malas to make backup when flashing stuff. tongue.gif

any suggestions? icon_question.gif

What is your SMSC configured to?

Last time I have the same issue with DiGi, where I accidentally WIPED out the SMSC in the #*#*INFO thing

I am having 07910681010001f8 for umobile here.

so weird ar..
i believe this problem has been going on for me for a couple of days d. just today i realised i'm not getting spam messages from umobile. hahaha

btw, just called umobile, they say to remove sim card, then reinsert it after 3mins. dunno if it'll work though. =S

EDIT: would a full wipe rectify this issue?? just wondering.

EDIT 2: removing sim card doesnt work too. called back Umobile to inform them, they told me to try switch the sim card to a another mobile phone and try and sms.
But, i told them i did it earlier with my old BB, i could send and receive sms. what she told me is that it could be my phone and not my sim card.

just wondering, do any of you have the setting Message Service Centre(or something like that) under ur Message Setting. Message>Setting>Message Service Centre(Text Message)..
i've only got 2 options, delivery reports & manage sim card messages

EDIT 3: Decided to do a full wipe.. everything is back to normal now.

Thinking of getting Nexus 4 from Digi. For those that got their phones from Digi recently, did you get the new batch with the bump?
*
Depends on the batch they got...My friend just bought one... No bump thingy

No.

Restore backup from CWM then your phone is back to the state before you flash Custom ROM.

CWM is like an image of the state of your phone at the moment of time you backed up.

Should be inside a folder named "clockworkmod". I still prefer TWRP biggrin.gif

I'm not so sure since I've not used CWM for very long time. Maybe someone using CWM can help you smile.gif
