QUOTE(cowithgun @ Jun 7 2013, 05:24 PM) Personally, I don't like running something as powerful as Cerberus in my phone without ability to verify the source. Just so you know that there is an open source Anti-Thief system as well: https://github.com/prey/prey-android-client Feel free to modify it to suit your need. I basically stripped everything, left only 1 ability I want to use in case of emergency. ps: dont even need root access... thanks. Looks a good alternative |

mine got sudden death today, while using facebook messager. there's around 30% battery left. only revived after charging using PC USB port and not the charger.
I read somewhere this is due to facebook apps. anyone can confirm? This post has been edited by zaidi: Jun 11 2013, 07:16 PM |

QUOTE(yisien @ Jun 21 2013, 11:38 PM) use 'Balance checker' app from playstore. compatible for most carriersQUOTE(polarzbearz @ Jun 22 2013, 02:25 AM) I must say that learning the basics of using adb / fastboot have at least prevented me from panicking ADB skills is a must for modders Basically just wasted my time to reapply SoftKeyZ mod, reflash su.zip and changing my system's font; but luckily no data losses as I did not perform a factory reset (my last resort if the third attempt fails).. QUOTE(iceman31 @ Jun 22 2013, 01:51 PM) thanks |

QUOTE(wingwp @ Jul 6 2013, 01:11 PM) sad to hear that bro.. i just used usb from my monitor usb hub. looks OK, sometimes charged at 700mAlike yisien said, just now it goes red for me once & stop charging and I have to replace it again, not so reliable charger I can say, probably just because the adapter not enough power but where to buy 1.8A output adapter? how much did you guys get using higher rated charger? |

QUOTE(kyosukekisaragi @ Jul 7 2013, 09:48 PM) Sharing experience, not sure if anybody kena here before. happened to me few times, when my 2-year old watched youtube until the battery fully drained. I am always lucky with the USB hub on my dell monitor. you should try from PC USB for 30 mins or so and try power it on.Was jogging just now and I completely drained my battery. Tried charging after I came back, but the Nexus 4 has bricked; only the notification light is on, and it is a solid red. A quick search on the Internet identified my phone as bricked; either I remove the screws and mess with the battery or I go back to the buyer to change. Thank god I did not buy an AP set. Anybody else faced this proble,? a good indicator when the screen is off is the adb debug, so if still no go try to connect and scan via 'adb devices' command |

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Jul 9 2013, 09:53 PM) How do you measure the drawing ampere? I use battery monitor widget, i notice that stock charger draws 0.4-0.5A, while my playbook 2A charger it can draw 0.6A stable. I use the app Battery Monitor Widget. There is history section to check how much mA added or reduced.I think so, I just read some other forums and they said the device will only draw how much current it needs. Since my charger is 5V 2A should be fine. I found that not only charger, but cable also plays role in the charging performance. a short cable normally performs better than longer ones. an old almost faulty cable normally produce smaller mA reading that new ones. |

QUOTE(Dreamezz @ Jul 19 2013, 12:48 PM) hey guys, anyone here came across not being able send or receive sms before?? wait a while. sometimes it's just the carrier issuei dont usually send text messages, and it didnt occur to me that i hadnt receive any sms lately, till today when i wanted to sms someone. i'm on Umobile, data works just fine. i can make and receive calls just fine. i've tried googling around, and some pointed out to the SMSC thingy in the phone info via *#*#4636#*#*, i've tried that to no avail. even tried switching to a blackberry, just to save the sms settings(which had the SMSC settings there). cant restore from back up too, since i'm a hero, malas to make backup when flashing stuff. any suggestions? |
