Hi bros,

Just wondering.. you guys use offset or fixed vcore method for 24/7 usage?
I'm planning to get at least 4.7g or 4.8g for 24/7 use.  I don't really want to manually feed 1.25-1.27v static vcore for a prolonged period as it might just kill the proc prematurely.

any ideas ?

24/7 usage mean full load all the time? if your proc need 1.25-1.27v for 4.7/4.8g stable, there is no other way to lower down the vcore.

4690k @ 4.3ghz @ 1.165v.
prime 95 test for 20mins and real temp showed highest temp in C as high as 87c.
H100 is not a good cooler..somehow a normal non liquid cooler(RM2xx like V6GT) is better than it.

you need to delid, and replace the crappy TIM with CLU thumbup.gif

intel always seasonal testing only, too luxurious to be my main rig bro.  sad.gif

i'm afraid with my limited ram tweaking knowledge in INTEL thats d max i can go, even 2666 @ 2T is a no go, perhaps sifu owi can shed some lights on this... tongue.gif

will do when i have d time bro, d g3258 is actually in office. d sammy lp ram belongs to my main rig, dont have extra pair to (temporarily) permanently test it.  sad.gif
more details on specs & voltages/temp details mebe?  hmm.gif

for intel ram tweaking, you can always refer to sifu cstkl1

Guys.. Just asking.. My friend got this overclock settings..

Is i7 4790k running at 4.6Ghz  stable with 1.225volts okay?
And the idle temperature with H100i is 40C
Its in a warm room..

But i did an overclock with my pc running the same setting with a colder room, the cpu is at around 30C.

Is the temperature for my friend's pc considered to be okay? even though his ambient temperature is a bit hot..

is 4.6g @ 1.225v prime stable? hmm.gif
