well ,whats so fancy about S4 Activ ? other than water proof ?

It look much appealing to me, solid build, the back is far nicer than current S4. Side also nicer.

back looks solid, agreed!
3 buttons on the front... that looks so yesteryear's design...  shakehead.gif

IMO, so far if just talking about water&dust proof + design, nothing beats XZ

specwise, no doubt samsung will always give the best
*

Haha! At least it still look refreshing than origin S4.

If talk on overall which much nicer look, XZ is much elegance than this. But this S4 Active also look nice, at least finally Samsung did something solid this time.

Why do people dislike physical / capacitive button? I think having physical buttons gives you 100% screen real estate instead of losing 80 pixels or so for the buttons.
*

Pixel? You mean DPI right? Origin is 48DPI, it do a bit big, but after change to 36DPI manually, it is nice and OK for me. It never bother me much when at 36DPI.

But still is better in capacitive touch button. For me, either all is capacitive, or all is hard button, don't like certain hard, certain capacitive like current did in S4 origin.

I have just changed to sun global 3150mha battery. I notice the battery life seem to deplete faster than the original battery...anyone using sun global battery having the same issue?

The sun global battery which write higher capacity mAH always under perform in real world. I have bought once for bb9900 and used it for a few days then back to ori battery. I dont see any significant improvement at all.

So far my iphone 5 and note 2 LTE does not have battery draining issue when connected to 4G LTE whole day. In fact the battery drains much slower than 3G when using it. However if you compare to 2G EDGE , then of course the standby of 2G better.

Thanks

Questions to those who already own it:
1 Anyway to remove icons from notification menu? Too cluttered.
2 anyway to put a battery icon on main screen? S3 use to be able to do it via
3 is there a plastic protective layer on the camera lens? When I rub it seems like got plastic screen sound..

Dear all,

Thinking of getting S4 LTE version. but i heard that S4 non LTE have better in terms of spec?

S4 LTE Version- 1.9Ghz quad-core processor , 32gb storage
S4 Non LTE - Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 & quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 - 16gb Storage

4G LTE network is not so significant to me as my area do not have LTE coverage.

Hence, i am looking at the spec wise.
Kindly comment.

Just received call from maxis that it's my turn to get s4 from ttdi maxis..so I supposed they are opening the sales to those who put their names previously..

PS : waiting for my turn now..

Just confirmed with the staffs that today is only for those who put their names in waiting list..Saturday will open to public..

Plenty of stocks for both colors...
Hope this helps...

Bro read this: http://www.cnet.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s4-o...e-339344093.htm
Pretty much no difference in spec.
Quad core processor gives better battery life for mixed usage, the octa-core should be better on low demanding usage.

if LTE is not ur main concern , get non-LTE model....cheaper by RM300 , which is about 15% ...and use that money to get 32-64gb memory card....

Hi Steven,

I am thinking that too now. However, i heard that for S4 non LTE phone, there is a option to switch to LTE network. got such thing? I thought only LTE phone can detect LTE Network.

Any sifu can confirm on this? I am first time smartphone user anyway.

If there is such a thing, why would phone manufacturer release separately a LTE enabled phone ?? Might as well just make one single phone model that can have LTE when needed

Just take a note that S4 Non-LTE comes with 16GB (only 8.9GB available left after bloatware)

Apps can't be moved to memory card, however with some knowledge you can enter root mode on your phone to enable it.

In terms of cores -

Quad Core performs better than Octa in battery wise, which I believe Octa is still new? But Octa performance is blazingly fast .

Non LTE phones wont be able to use the LTE network.
