I think the problem is many people were misinformed by htc about the One being a unibody design. As time passed then only many found out it wasnt really a unibody phone lol

There are devices from many sources that doesn't comes with warranty.

For an example, some from overrun production lines does not come with warranty.

I'm trying to find a cheap source, since I live in a country where people are willing to buy the Octa cores at a higher price than the i9505. Why not make a quick buck from it.

In terms of price, I guess HTC One is doing very well. But you lose removable battery and MicroSD card slot.

But you can't put games onto SD card anyway. Only those who likes to save files/photos is a big advantage for them.

Why are you against rooting? I've been rooted since my first android phone 3 years ago, gave me access to so much functions that now i cant imagine using an android phone without root 

Rooting doesn't change anything in your phone. It just unlocks some settings so you can be free to use your phone as you like. You can just root and carry on with your stock firmware. You gain various other unlockable powers though.

If you don't root, then you are limited.

Rooting does not mean changing a ROM and all that. You don't need to. I was on plain rooted stock for many months before changing ROMs again.

Maybe because I dont know anything yet about rooting,might aswell learn basic thing first.

Fair enough. For the warranty void part, there is a secret counter that detects whenever you flash something on your phone, counter can only be seen by Samsung service center. But chainfire on xda is working on something

I believe only 1 out of 10 are rooted phones.

Then what about ipong jailbreaking? People happily pay RM50-80 (maybe more) for the "privilege" ? How many do you think are jailbroken?

I had an S3 which I rooted, never saw any red exclamation mark so not sure what you mean, but regardless the Samsung guys surely can check quickly if the phone is rooted or not.
I had to root it to fix a bug that Samsung didn't bother to fix...copy/paste stopped working and the only way to fix was to root the phone so you got access to the root-folders where the cache was, and clear the cache. Then copy/past started working again
Took about 20 minutes to learn how to root and actually do it. Then install some nice file browsers. I never installed a custom ROM, but I installed a file explorer that allowed me to remote access/stream files from my pc over wifi to my phone - so I could watch movies etc from the pc straight on my phone without copy files when I was home.
It also allowed to install a flash player, but it did not work for all content.
Now my S3 suffered sds and I am out of warranty so waiting to get the S4 LTE...
