since my dad with note 1 also have difficult to read with his default text size.

too bad the facebook apps cant adjust the font size for him.

and err ... change launcher need root right? and need backup all data one ar? wanted to try root my dad note 1 for first time but duno which thing need take pre-caution as if his phone not always with me...

thinking flash it with lighter lauhcher to run the phone smoother so the default touchwiz(?) wont be sluggish.

i dun have techie colleague using samsung, only htc... so i duno what is the difference flashing samsung and htc method... >_<

The sound of them crying when that blows their speakers will be even louder   There's a reason why HTC reduced Boomsound volume in 1.29.

Dont worry , rooting samsung phone is just way of clicking a few button 

owh another thing, when i listening music right with headphone, the volume sometimes will tune down after a whilee... how to disable that?

At settings/display you can set font size
Many apps allow you to set font sizes too. Just need to explore their options
Eg my favorite browser boat I can adjust font size up to 200-300% depend on standard font size already chose. Most eBook apps allow to adjust font too. Use friendcaster instead Facebook ad u can increase font size too.

Rooting Samsung is darn easy n if I rate it a 10 as easiest the HTC will score a 2
Unroot n revert to stock n hide such activities also easy

Just look at all the blown speaker reports, most happened during the time they were on 1.28, and in 1.29 the system volume was toned down.

Gap issue, A4 paper thin gap, small, nevertheless an issue

i thought the HTC implement the smart-arse AI to tune down volume after a while for user to prevent hearing get bursted... 

google it first see is it hardware problem or software problem, sound more like software issue. 

I always adjust volume way above htc limit n has never experienced vol going down. My longest is watching a musical 3 hours

i think i found the beats sound on is the culprit there 

then if i press jump forward and back to same song, the volume change back to normal level... (with beats on)

not sure la, i playing those heavy metal many bass "boom boom" sound one...    with headphone on or off, it still lower down volume after a awhile. 

test more again later on.

I think better use it until it fail then go and claim new one. As it is there is little basis for the claim since it still works and nothing malfunction came from it yet.

Since ifixit is having a rather hard time taking this HTC One apart I wonder if they would just go ahead and give you a new one if anything goes wrong inside? but someone mention only RM149 to replace battery out of warranty period.
Think they have special tools to pry in there without damaging the aluminium case?

mine is almost on par as well...but it's still accessible. need to go play with demo set again. but the problem with demo set is that they are abused so much it's possible that the button are worst than ours.
