I did not say Nexus devices won't be liked by the masses, I said Nexus devices were made with developers in mind....  Nexus devices like I said provides developers with a stable hardware platform with the very latest versions of Android.  A Nexus device usually sets the trend for what SoC will be most used for the following year.  Nowhere in my post did I say that a Nexus device would not appeal to mainstream users.
silrave Lol, go see few pages back (or just dig my post history), HTC damn imba to me today tongue.gif

hahaha.... i lol'ed hard at that statement
are you sure??.... i dun remember gnex soc from TI set the trend
and same goes to nexus s
the only time thye use a good soc is starting from nexus 4
and no. except for nexus one, all the other devices did not target only dev
nexus target was to flood the market with up to date software and cheap phone off the contract so that google can conquer the mobile industry, it din really came off except for the us market

QUOTE : HTC recently confirmed to TechnoBuffalo — though it was fairly obvious — that the developer edition won’t offer BlinkFeed, any form of Sense 5 (which means you’ll need to find something else to power that IR blaster), the Zoe snapshots or the live gallery. That means you can’t use one of our favorite features: the Zoe mode on the camera, which can be used to capture quick 3-second clips that can be combined with photos into a 30-second highlight reel (which, by the way, also isn’t on the developer edition). Beats Audio is still supported, though the phone will not display when it’s active in the status bar.

wow... the only good thing for us one user is that the base for other ROM i.e. CM will get RC version faster
i have learnt how to appreciate skinned UI than the vanilla android
the os seems bare with the vanilla android nowadays

Nexus One started the Snapdragon craze, and both Samsung Nexus were really slow in their hardware choices, while the Nexus 4 again became like the Nexus One where their SoC's became the base for future phones.  It's important to note that the Nexus S used Samsung's proprietary chips (Hummingbird was a Samsung exclusive for awhile) so that was a failed attempt by Google to provide a proper base as Samsung wouldn't sell the chip to anyone else.

With the Galaxy Nexus, the Omap4460 was barely better than the OMAP4430 used in the S2, Atrix 2 and the Optimus L9.  Both Samsung devices have failed to do what the Nexus program was meant to do, come out with good mature and stable hardware for developers to develop their apps for the new OS.

Then the Nexus 4 appeared and Google seems to be on track again with their original intention.  New but mature hardware for a new OS.  Almost every phone you see in 2013 is a derivation of the S4, now renamed to the Qualcomm Sx00 series.
*
boy you got it really wrong
samsung will nto proceed if they don get the nod from nexus. and if based on OS, JB runs fine on a dual core phone...
it was all samsung who started the 1ghz core, then dual core and quad core race
nexus follow suit not the other way round, nexus one is based on GS, Gnex followed with dual core after the success of s2, not the design though and nexus 4 is based off LG Optimus G
nexus is never about hardware and will never set the trend, be it soc, speaker, camera and screen... it is all about the software and the nexus experience... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

edit: think i am off topic
back to discussing HTC one biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
anyone enjoying the wide angle of htc front cam?

The sound of them crying when that blows their speakers will be even louder tongue.gif  There's a reason why HTC reduced Boomsound volume in 1.29.
*
have you even used it? if not i dont think this at all will blow the speakers away
if it does. shame on boomsound doh.gif doh.gif

Just look at all the blown speaker reports, most happened during the time they were on 1.28, and in 1.29 the system volume was toned down.
*
well i seriously dont think the lock and unlock screen sound will blow the speaker away
it is still lower than the notification tone
if it is gonna be blown away, it got nothing to do with the screen sound
