Seems like everybody have second thought on Selayang 18...any improvements on the sales? if the sales keep stagnant, maybe this project is not so good after all...

OIC. anyways, my loan is not going the way I expected. I am heading your way too bro flix. There are too much excitement out there to be tied down here if we are not totally convinced. Happy hunting!
Eh! can share share ah? Where are your next target?

I thought u bought it for own stay...may I know why u so concern about the lock on period? it shouldn't be a problem unless u suddenly got a huge sum of money to pay back all the loan, is it? or I missed out anything here?

The lock-in for 3 years is for islamic loan only. Otherwise its 5 years for conventional. Ownstay or not... nowdays where got people still buy into 5 years. many things will change in 5 years. NEVER NEVER get 5 years!

Maybank is trying to play hardball by squeezing borrower since they dont have much competition here at S18.

Lock in clause in islamic loan is rare nowadays. Most of the bank's islamic loan is no lock in.

Good point Mr.Hunter. And u r right! So like I said, Maybank thinks buyers here may not hv much option/competition. Unsuspecting borrower may unknowingly fall into their little scheme.

So buyers be warned! Unless u r happy getting islamic loan with 3 yrs lock-in or 5 years conventional lock-in. Either ways it is totally unusual with other development.

Yet to be processed by uob but banker pre-empted me that it is likely to be less than 90%. Looking at how maybank is playing... I am not optimistic with uob either. Its simply put... Too big a piece of "fei juu yok" to let go easily. After all only 2 banks are confirmed in. As for public bank and alliance... So far hear say only but no proof.

Any forumers can feed back on their bank offer?

As for menjalara 18.... Telekom satellite or not it is entirely up to ur own choice. Flix bro did not want to pay so much to get htc and frequency exposure on a daily basis. That's his perogative. And I support him.

Erm...the lock on period actually means that u can't clear up the loan within this period or u'll get penalty for it, is it?

Why a tread running around? Cos the subject is alarming and yet intriquing. Lol

If u read my early post... The banks are giving less than optimum deal to s18 buyers. Maybank asking 3yrs lock-in islamic loan or 5 yrs conventional loan. Either case it is not a reasonable deal to buyers. UOB offering less than 90% subject to approval.

Develooper and bank think we are at their mercy. Think again!

Myself already under 1 islamic loan. Understanding the statement is a struggle for me... The uninitiated type.

Furthermore islamic usually giving better deal like zero entry or fre legal etc. This one aint nothing. Much debate has been on it. So, Nett nett, I m looking at my next conventional loan.
