From CIMB Research Report July 2013:

"One should be in accumulation mode in the US and China - US corporate earnings is in an improved mode, and reduced risk appetite due to a reduction in quantitative easing and higher bond yields could see investors and funds flow returning to the US. Uncertainty and growth debate over China will not be resolved for a while, but we believe this offers an opportunity to buy well-managed companies at reasonable valuations."

been thinking thought, even though China is "Cheap" now, but it still needed some time to show improved performance,....why buy it now instead of buying into Asia x Jpn?
I "think" Asia X Jpn will see a better ROI for next year than China....Heavy on Asia X Jpn for next 12 mths but reevaluate the China again next 6 mths...
else can start to accumulate China now but at a smaller portion than Asia X Jpn.
what you think?

I have the same opinion also with unker. Anyway there is news reported that China ruler is working to stimulate China economy to sustain high growth. The ruler also support by loosening the loan for SME... So this could be game changing in china results this year. However it depend on the amount injected to economy and aggressiveness in action. Given the size of china economy it is not strong to convince it can resolved in near term... It need more longer.

Hi Pinky, which china fund you personally invested? global one or China-focused?

FSM's recommended one for greater China is Eastspring Investments Dinasti Equity Fund. Currently my portfolio 0% exposure for china. sweat.gif

Hmm Islamic funds... no financials, gambling & alchohol. Most of the big caps companies in the world are financials. Scope too limited.

I maintain China exposure thru GEM fund and Pacific GSF, not keen on single-country funds.

Already got fatwa come out EPF and ASB is haram 1... depend what they choose to believe only lar.

Interest or Riba also haram... so EPF hold 60% of MGS bonds.. then how?

Also Malaysian Government issue MGS Bonds which pays fixed interest (not sukuk ya)... so Malaysian Govenment also haram then? icon_idea.gif

Any muslim brothers here help to clarify? smile.gif
