Yup soon. Not aggressive, more towards balance /conservative type, counted as a risk taker?
*
Oo.. conservative type arh ... hmm.. ar u planning to lump sum 7K investment? its advisable that u invest by several purchases rather than lump sum. While u r young why not dare to take risk. Buy during promotion and the market still in the recovery stage.

Arrghh... tension la

AmDynamic Bond keep going down and down

There's some bond redemption going for MGS these few days.

Part of redemption could be foreign fund outflow back to developed country.

AmInvestment speaker shared this but he put a neutral outlook on bond market.

Add : Emerging equity, International, Emerging/Corporate bond, US Value, Cash, Commodities

Avoid : Government Bond, International Bond, REIT, US Small & largecap,

Avoid US small and large caps liao...so, Europe under "International"? unsure.gif

Add on more Asia ex-Japan? My Asia ex-Japan + GEM weighting already at a very high 75%, still add on? sweat.gif

Really dunno what to buy already...to save my hair from falling more, maybe just top up proportionately in the coming months, just maintain portfolio structure doh.gif

AmDynamic Bond has been steadily going up lately, it's about time to give up some ground. Mine IRR from 6%++ dropped back to 5%++, still more than decent to me

He's referring to pure bond market especially MGS not AmInvestment bond funds.

AmInvestment bond funds got invest in corporate papers in order to jack up the return beyond normal bond fund average annual return of around 5%.

More towards balance type I guess, don't like things to be too risky biggrin.gif . Min initial investment for most funds also need 1k ,if I buy 5-6 funds , hard to do DCA as I dont have any income at all.

Awesome. It has only 1.2% exposure in China.

It has quite substantial exposure in developed countries.

My ROI is 5.96% and XIRR is 11.76%

U mean GEYF rode on the rally of financials? hmm.gif

Last time I actually weighed between these 2 combo:

18% OSK-UOB GEYF
18% Aberdeen Islamic World

vs

24% OSK-UOB GEYF
12% Pacific GSF

I decided on the latter, GEYF to get the steady dividend income and long-term growth, PGSF to bet on beaten down value stocks. wink.gif

Top Equity Funds 2Q 2013: Malaysian Funds Gained Post-GE13 Rally

1. Out of 131 equity funds available on our platform, 109 (83%) equity funds recorded positive returns in 2Q 2013
2. Malaysia small- to mid-cap stocks had a strong rally especially in the aftermath of the general election (GE13).
3. Oil and gas, property as well as construction sectors, who were once the laggards during the pre-election period, rallied after the election risk is gone
4. Funds that invest predominantly in gold mining equities, namely AmPrecious Metals and OSK-UOB Gold and General Fund slid further by -34.5% and -33.2% respectively in 2Q 2013
5. RHB - GS BRIC Equity Fund, AmBRIC Equity Fund and TA BRIC and Emerging Markets Fund shed -9.7%, -6.2% and -4.5% respectively over the same period.
6. Although Malaysia equity funds posted strong returns in 2Q 2013, we advise investors to focus more on neglected markets to capture greater investment opportunities abroad
