QUOTE(joytest @ May 27 2013, 02:42 PM) Hmmm, since we are all bored to tears waiting for 4.2.2, anyone want to share how they've used Office type apps? Since there was that video showing the Note/Note 2 connecting to everything. Personally, one of my gripes is the non-scalable sliders and status bars of these apps, which take up way too much space. It makes the app usable only on screens 7" or larger. I've also tried stuff like Jump Desktop but company security policies usually discourage such programs. Flash aosp and you get 4.2.2. Anyway my only advice on the way to use Office apps on android is to NOT use it at all except for viewing.

My gripes on AOSP -i seem to be getting SYSTEM as a major battery drainer for some reason -The OASP camera quite frankly sucks. Damn noisy -Plus no photosphere. if it had that then maybe i could live with the a lil suckier camera at low lighting

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ May 27 2013, 02:38 PM) Jailbroken iOS5.1.1 iPhone 4 (the one in my DP) was able to reach 11h30m on WiFi, 2G mode data, 10% screen brightness, continuous usage of social networking apps with Safari as the majority. i must say, ur dp is very attractive.. the phone i mean. should update it with another dp with ur note 2. Never really had issue with Android OS in aosp. - Camera sound can be disable by moving/renaming/deleting the sound file - I dun think i will use photosphere even if it is available. Not important for me.

Samsung own camera is actually very noisy as well for my standard. Never really tested the cm10.1 camera in lowlight. Let me try later.

Anyway, Note II and S3's camera really sucks. I got so pissed off with it that I got a smaller camera -Nikon V1 to go with me rather than lugging my heavy DSLR around all the time.

QUOTE(cskean @ May 27 2013, 03:42 PM) Mainly due to mainboard failure? Any way to prevent it or is just solely depends on luck? EMMC partition corrupted and fail. Update to latest recovery, kernel, rom and bootloader to lower the risk as Samsung is supposed to implement a fix for it in the latest firmwares just they never announce it. Otherwise its purely base on luck.

QUOTE(cskean @ May 27 2013, 04:10 PM) Oh, how could samsung not rectifying this issue? Cannot imagine if the SDS hit those device which is after warranty period, how much will it cost to replace the mainboard... The easiest way to rectify it, is suppose to change the whole mobo. So if Samsung goes this path it will have to give everyone new phones. Updating the EMMC codes have a higher chance of bricking it compared to leaving it to SDS. So far most SDS issue surfaced after 6 months. They have done some patching work in the kernel and bootloader just no one can confirm it works as there is nothing official. Supposedly with this patch the device will not brick but will freeze or reboot if it encountered a corrupt part of the EMMC.
