Wow, it's the first time I see video file with such a high resolution.
My opinion is, you definitely need better hardware.

i am using DivX Codec, but i came up with a avi file recently that i was able to play the video file, the video is showing but there is no audio, is it a codec prob?

should i be trying something like K-Lite?

IIRC, is not allowed to have DivX and K-Lite Codec installed in the same PC right? but i really like using the DivX Codec with the little Divx logo that popout at the botom right corner when u play videos fiels.... blush.gif

anyone kno how to solve this problem?

DivX only decodes video, you need audio codecs to decode audio too
so yes, its codec problem, but audio codec .

and if u know what u are doing, you can always use DivX over Xvid

hardware can't cope up with the demanding h264 codec. At 720p, a 2.4Ghz also uses up to 90%++ CPU
I suggest you use CoreAVC to decode, it'll be faster but the best thing is get a new PC

i was a loyal classic windows media player (with k-lite mega codec)user. until i met KMplayer. video quality is basically same but KMplayer has lot more filters that you can mess with. its even better when it comes to audio. tonnes of options you can enable and all my videos sound much much better than ever before. this is the main reason for me to i switch. no installtion needed, unzip it and you can play anything and everything. except flv and rm files though. quicktime i'm not sure.

Guys, could use some help here.

I don't want to install any other software other than WMP11 to play my videos. I tried two diferent softwares to help me be able to play quicktime etc on WMP11, but to no avail.

I tried K-LITE MEGA CODEC and Storm Codec 6.10.

I still can't seem to play Quicktime videos in WMP11.

anyone can help me?
