QUOTE(splinter @ Aug 21 2006, 08:59 AM) I'm using Klite codec full pack. I wonder with this codec can i enjoy DVD movies with 5.1 surround sound? Or i must get windvd or powerdvd in order to enable the dolby, dts those soft of feature? The ffdshow audio decoder has DD 5.1 and DTS decoder in itIf you don't want it, you can also use the AC3Filter to decode for you |

QUOTE(ReiAyanami580 @ Nov 4 2006, 11:01 PM) My computer got lagging problem when playing "1280X720 H.264" Vorbis anime.......... hardware can't cope up with the demanding h264 codec. At 720p, a 2.4Ghz also uses up to 90%++ CPUMy graphic card is GeForce 2 64MB Processor is 1.6 GHz RAM is 256 MB Any idea what the problem and solution to it? Thank You I suggest you use CoreAVC to decode, it'll be faster but the best thing is get a new PC |

Sound is gone? Do check what audio type in the container, then you can search for the audio decoder in the list of K-lite

QUOTE(silverchain @ May 2 2007, 12:05 PM) problems playing an .avi HD format video files. It lags like hell. Now im using CCCP codec. All other video files work flawlessly. Only the HD will lag which the properties is Most likely its your PC don't have enough 'horsepower' to decode it flawlessly. I assume its video is H264. If it is, use CoreAVC instead which is multithreaded and faster where else CCCP's ffdshow is only single threaded and is slower.Image Width 1280 pixels Height 720 pixels Audio Duration 0:24:00 Bitrate 192kbps Audio format MPEG Layer-3 Video Frame rate 23frames/second Data rate 183kbps Is it my codec does not support it or my computer not strong enough to play it thats why it lags? Immediate help needed |

It looks like you don't have a H264 decoder to decode it
CCCP/K-lite will get the job done. In ffdshow, enable H264 decoding. tan_pang : Thats why I am curious, why u assume Haali's splitter is the problem behind the AVI files. The AVI Splitter alone can get the job done flawlessly. To me VMR9 (renderless) is useless. I use system default all the way....less CPU usage and quality is good. |

QUOTE(sotong168 @ Jun 6 2007, 04:15 PM) you sure? Mine can display whatever subtitles flawlessly....tan_pang : What did u mean cannot save image? I can save image here with system default in MPC. And you wouldn't wanna try 1080p H264 videos with VMR9, unless ur processor has enough horsepower. Quality wise not much of a difference anyway This post has been edited by shinjite: Jun 6 2007, 07:36 PM |

So to compromise it, normally they recommend Overlay mixer.
1024kbps : VMR9, quality wise, it will be so little like no difference at all. Tested it out myself already, just use overlay mixer/system default, everything is good to go both CPU and GPU wise. |

100% CPU load, I would not tolerate that of course >.>"
Unnecessary load just to decode a video, if its a very high quality of 1080p H264 I wouldn't mind >.>" |
