You not need coreAVC at all if you have geforce 8 series/redeon 3xxx onwards on your pc.let the GC do the h264 decoding for you rclxm9.gif

Another alternative that 1, but in terms of performance, CoreAVC is still faster

Guyz, i duno if this is the right thread to post my problem, Sry if i did.
I recently downloaded an anime with H264 .mkv file format. When i played it, it seems that the sound spontaneously goes faster that the video, something like delayed or lags over time, is it because it is a HD file? I played it using Zoom Player, which player is recomended to solve this problem??

I was wondering if anyone here knows the format of the high quality videos on Youtube? Previously the normal quality videos had the format of flv, but I'm not sure what format the HQ ones are. I normally extract the video from Firefox's cache and rename it to .flv for future playback, but I can't seem to do that for the high quality versions. I've tried .mp4 but I still get an error in Media Player Classic.

YouTube's high quality videos are in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC format with stereo AAC audio. The MPEG-4 videos can be played by adding &fmt=18 to the web address of a video.

It was also announced in November 2008 that YouTube now offers some of its videos in true HD format, with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Videos uploaded with 720 pixel resolution can be viewed in this format by selecting the "watch in HD" option, or by adding &fmt=22 to the web address.

another player to play FLV is VLC Media Player

what version of the VCP u're using?

latest is v5.08a now (released yesterday): http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=877152

uninstall any old version, then install this new v5.08a

regards of VCP version, does this happen without any codec installed? it seems that it's more related to driver.

My computer unable to play the mkv.file

I pretty sure it isn't the codec problem...so, it is definitely my computer spec problem..so what spec should I change in the order to play the mkv.file.

Is it graphic card or other else? as I know, my graphic card is pretty much ancient....lIt is around 2002 item.
