The 2009 is quite impressive. Low cpu resource as for my old 1.7 p4 lappy. Better detection rate then the previous engine, but not really complete yet. Still a lot of bugs (if you refer their official forum) so perhaps if you want to try it out, wait until they release another build...

avast pro can scan virus before booting into windows..
avg is free.. no prob updates.. no memory hogging..
kaspersky is great although i dun like the frequent 'update' notification tongue.gif
nod32 is very light in resource usage..

been using kaspersky for years, changed to avg v8 free recently

It's not even out yet, I've tried the internal beta (both NAV & NIS), quite fast, and the updates too... it just too flashy... sweat.gif

yes but far less effective than the paid one
the trial version is ok though
i would always spend rm30-40 to buy a peaceful yr with KIS
if u count it's only 10 cents a day hehe

why do you said it's far less effective than the paid one? it's trial, all functionality should work (if I'm not mistaken) until the last day of the trial period. and owh, the updates works too.

IF you're willing enough, go buy one. It ain't cost you a thing and may in turns safe ya pc from malwares and such.

Or if not, download an antivirus per month for the rest of your life?

Last option, by own risk.
You know, the net has lots of sources (ehem type)
if you know what i mean.

it's true enough, just invest and give urself a peace of mind
the "ehem" one might give u some hassles to keep changing new keys or new cracks
it's up to u all actually

not really necessary, some "ehem" one give you usage from 1,2,3 and even 15 years... if you know where to find lor... but again, original is better since you'll get product support:thumbs:
