hello..you guys have any idea what is Windows Antivirus 2008? i know it is a spyware, cos it installs itself, and keep popping out every 2 minutes onto my screen...can anyone help? i am currently using KAV 6 with bundle license..

since u know it's a spyware u should get a anti-spyware instead

for just anti-virus NOD32 is a good choice too, but ESS not that good IMO

AVG , been using it for the 4 years, absolutely fantastic piece of AV software

i'm currently using NOD32 2.7 (outdated but still packs the punch) but i just dunno why, im not really liking it that much.

N also AVG 7.5 SoHO which is paid also with my desktop. It great but
haven't tried KAV (not KAP/typo)

of cuz u wont like the interface of NOD32 V2.7
too techy, not user friendly

to try and kautim this problem....

if you have a valid license, upgrade to KAV 2009...

then from the KAV 2009 main screen.. do the following
- go to Settings
- go to Options
- Threats and Exclusion
- under threats on your right, click settings
- from the pop up window, tick other programs option,
- click ok
- click apply
- close all window

restart your computer then run scan again and see if this helps

any free AV to recommend other than AVG

you can try Kaspersky Anti Virus 2009 Trial Version..!!

avast home dition & avira free edition is lot better than avg in term of detect virus when scaning.
