IMO, most of the anti virus programs released lately should be nice, just don't choose the security suite... eating up resources like hungry dinosaurs =.="

Security suite is combination of antivirus and firewall, all together in one package, with one price.

cost to install...nothing but your own time. Cost to purchase...varies depending on versions. new version out i think?

BTW, with no intention to disrespect Norton fans, Why don't you look up other AV software with has better scanning & detection capabilities and minimum resource usage. my experience with Norton tells me that unless i have a high spec machine, the slow down is highly noticeable. Great console graphics though.....

I've got news that it is now Norton 2007. Please do check it up for me. Pricing? Depends on where you buy it. If it is a legal copy, should be approx RM300-500 for OEM version. If it is the "..." copy, well, I won't say any further. Cheers!

Standardly all AV software prices are typically about USD40.00. The premiums are about USD60. For USD80, that is simply expensive...

Standardly? What standard? ISO? Specific please. Some AVs are overpriced, some under-priced. There are no fix standards. The only people who fix the pricing are the vendors, obviously. Cheers!

Of course not ISO standard or whatever official standard. But based on my personal market surveys on AV programs for sale.
Though i must agree its the vendors that set the pricing but they do benchmark their price against the most and least expensive competitor and compare features and market positioning before coming up with the final price.

OK. I must agree with you on this. But bear in mind, less functions, less price. But then again, there are extreme pricing too.(That's why I disagree with the approximate pricing posted by bean_man. No offense.) Cheers!
